[ Message from SAP

When SAP introduced Design Studio 1.0 to the market at Sapphire Madrid 2012, customer interest and expectations were very high. By the time of general availability in November 2012, the product had just gone through SAP’s largest beta program, reaching out to almost 400 customers. In February 2013 the product already crossed the 1200 customer mark and is on track to be one of the most important pillars in SAP’s BI client offering. The goal for Design Studio in 2013 is to keep delivering on the promise to become premium successor to BEx Web App Designer while at the same time incorporating more and more SAP Business Objects Dashboards capabilities into the product.

[ Details Behind Scripting Language

SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio uses xText, which is a subset of the JavaScript standard BI Action Language

The scripts are executed on the SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio Service – Analysis Application Service

Scripts define the supported language constructs, objects, and functions

[ Creating Pagebooks – “Swiping”

From the Application Help:

"The pagebook component enables the user to switch between the different views of an application. You group the components and contents of a view on a separate page. For example, you want to show different data on different pages or you want to display the data in different ways (in a chart on one page and in a crosstab on another page). The pagebookonly shows one page at time."
