MAP?
We Need You! ‘Get On & Do It’ is a New Social Enterprise Service for people with Mental Health problems living in the North East Somerset area who would like to re-engage with their community. They will be looking to participate in activities such as retraining, getting back into education, becoming self-employed or even starting their own Social Enterprise Project.
They will need support to pursue their aspirations and achieve their goals and we are looking for volunteers to help support them to do this. This will usually be in a ‘soft’ support role, and might for example include accompanying service users to meetings, providing guidance and encouragement to overcome perceived obstacles to progress, or just listening, understanding and responding.
We would particularly welcome applications from those who have recovered, or are recovering from mental health problems, but these voluntary roles are open to everyone. Training and a CRB check will be provided.
If you would like the opportunity of working with a well-established organisation in the North East Somerset area and would like to give some of your time to promote Mental Health recovery and well-being in your community, please contact:
