General Training Methodology The key to success for a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst is training and experience. ImStrat Corporation offers both within all of our courses. The strict standards of our training programs combined with the proper balance of lectures and exercises, ensures all students walk away with not just knowledge, but with an ability. While at the same time they can capitalize upon having access to some of the most experienced and highly trained instructors available today. ImStrat’s innovative solutions and training support programs expand the range of Geospatial Intelligence requirements. This includes, but not limited to, confidential analysis support for maritime surveillance operations, baseline intelligence product development for use in other geospatial database systems, to complete turn-key imagery intelligence analysis training support programs. Training Program Focus
ImStrat’s training programs are focused on providing clients the tools and knowledge base to form an “independent” geospatial intelligence analytical capability for military and political decision making support. Training Approach ImStrat Corporation’s training programs have been carefully and
professionally developed by some of the best imagery intelligence experts in the field today.
Lesson Plan development is conducted in accordance to military training
guidelines and methods used by the Canadian Armed Forces and NATO guidelines.
They are designed in a block fashion in order for clients to pick and
choose what they require in accordance to their intelligence analysis requirements. Additionally, courses can be customized to fit a client’s specific needs.
All courses are conducted in a digital softcopy environment using the
latest imagery intelligence software applications at ImStrat’s training facility or at the client’s location. These include RemoteView Pro and Global Image Viewer (GIV).
All courses use multiple digital imagery types. Imagery includes
WorldView-2, WorldView-1, QuickBird, IKONOS, Star-3i X-band 2.5 m and 1.25 m SAR imagery, TerraSAR-X 1 metre X-band SAR data, Air Photo,
ImStrat Corporation © 2013 2.
UAV collected optical, Thermal Infrared and Radar and client provided data.
Emphasis is placed upon actual ‘hands-on’ analysis exercises. On
average the courses are composed of 40% lessons (lectures) and 60% hands-on exercises.
The short training block format allows the client to easily schedule
courses. Nonetheless, all course blocks are expandable to meet the client’s needs.
Points to Remember
• All courses presented here today are ‘on the shelf’ and immediately available.
• Courses are customizable to fit your specific needs.
• Regional imagery can be included or used in lieu of the imagery used
within ready made hands-on exercises.
• All courses use the latest commercial digital imagery and imagery intelligence software tools.
• Focus is placed upon hands-on practical training and not just class room
lectures.
• Training is conducted at ImStrat’s Training Centre or On-site at the client’s location.
