INTRODUCTION
A VLF-EM Survey was carried out on the Casson Township
Property for Paul Julien on a contract basis by Exsics
Exploration Ltd.
The purpose of this survey was to investigate the property
for any conductive sulphide zones to correlate with previous
prospecting.
This report deals with the results of the VLF survey only.
No information was available to the author on the geology,
prospecting etc. This will be compiled at a later date.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The property is located in Casson Township approximately 60
miles NE of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, in the Sault Ste. Marie
Mining Division.
Access to the property is via Highway 129 which runs north
from the town of Thessalon on the Trans Canada Highway 17. The
highway crosses the eastern part of the grid.

SURVEY PARAMETERS
The VLF Survey was carried out using an EDA Omni Plus VLF
instrument. This unit measures total field, in-phase and
quadrature components. Only the in-phase and quadrature
components were plotted and profiled in plan form. Both
parameters were measured in percent. Cutler Maine (NAA) with a
frequency of 24.0 khz was used as a transmitting station.
Instrument specifications can be found in the back of this
report.

SURVEY RESULTS
A total of 5 km of VLF Survey was carried out. A total of 4
conductors were detected and are described as follows:
Conductor A: This conductor was detected on all lines, striking
east-southeast and open at both ends. It is the strongest of the
4 conductors detected. Due to the "inflection type responses
obtained", the anomaly axis is somewhat ambiguous, a fact which
should be kept in mind if trenching or drilling is carried out.
Conductor B: This is a weaker anomaly, parallel and south of
"A". It was only detected on L9W/22N and L12W/2175N with a
possible very weak extension on L15W/2125N.
Conductor C: This is a two line anomaly detected on L6W/1875N
and L3W/1875N. It was not detected on L9W. It may extend east
of L3N but hydro line interference made this difficult to
ascertain. However, it appears to terminate before L2W. The
conductor is rather weak.
Conductor D: This conductor is very similar to "C" running
parallel to and 100m south of it. It was detected on L6W/1750N,
L3W/1750N, L2W/1737N with an eastward extension undetermined due
to the hydro line.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
A proper assessment of the VLF results can only be done in conjunction with a thorough compilation of all existing data on the property such as geological mapping and prospecting. As this information is not available to the author at this time, it can only be said that all four conductors should be explained by ground examination. The conductors could be caused by structural features such as faults, shear zones, mineralized contacts etc. Also local topography could cause false anomalies, thus making a ground examination crucial. If any or all of the conductors are thought to be sulphide related, a follow-up Max-Min and or IP Survey should be considered to further enhance the anomalies and screen out the non-bedrock type responses. Care should be taken to make liberal allowance for shifts in the anomaly axis if trenching and or drilling is considered.
Respectfully Submitted,
R. J. Meikle
