What is your role?

Project Director: The Project Director serves as the lead contact for the organization. They are responsible for validating all new users for the organization, and will be responsible for overseeing all of the administrative functions available such as application creation and completion. Must be first registered user at the organization.

What is your role?

Authorized Signer: The Authorized Signer is required to have your organization’s authority to sign legal documents. They are responsible for electronically signing the application before submission and the grant contract if the organization is awarded funds. Must register and be approved prior to the creation of the organizations first application.

What is your role? Writer: The role of writer should be

assigned to any individual that needs access to an organization’s application process to help complete the application but does not have the authority to complete the submission process. This individual cannot change the status of an application and will not have administrative function availability.

What is your role? Viewer: The role of viewer should be

assigned to any individual at your organization that needs access to view the organization’s information but does not need the functionality to save, add, edit, or change anything within the organization’s information.

If your organization already exists within GeMS, please select your organization from the organization drop down list. If not, choose ‘other’ in the organization drop down list. You will then be required to complete the organization registration section during your registration.

Registration After you save your contact and

organization information, your account must be approved before you have access to the system.

You will receive two email communications as part of the registrations process: Registration Submitted Access Granted

User Homepage My CG Applications: Community grants already in progress

My SG Applications: Small grants already in progress

My CG Reports: Access to all community grant progress and final reports already in progress

My SG Reports: Access to all small grant final reports already in progress

My Administration: Administrator functions, user approval. This tab will only appear for authorized users.

View Available Proposals: Initiate a new grant application offered by the Affiliate.

My Tasks: List of current tasks that you must complete.

Application Initiation From the User Homepage, click the “View

Opportunities” button.

Click the “Apply Now” for the grant you would like to apply for.

A confirmation page will appear. By clicking the “I agree” button you will initiate a new application.
