NTU students attending UB can take courses from more than one department

depending on their home university academic program and their interests in other fields. As an

exchange student at UB, you would not be a degree-seeking student, therefore, you would not have to

meet any specific UB degree program requirements.

15 credit hours is considered a full courseload at UB.

Restricted Courses for Exchange Students:

It is currently not possible to place undergraduate exchange students in courses in the School of

Management. The College of Arts & Sciences offers related courses in the departments of Economics

and Geography (International Trade). It has also come to our attention that some Art classes cannot be

offered to exchange students - these courses include ART 221, ART 309, ART 320, ART 322, ART 419

and ART 422.

Host typically recommend exchange students to come in the spring semester. Reason being:

1. There is more housing available in the spring

2. Fall semester exams here usually begin around January-February. Host do their best to

3. More holiday breaks in the spring, so students have more individual time to travel around the

are not part of Mannheim's degree programmes, students do not receive ECTS credits upon

bank accounts in Sweden, Halmstad would like to request all incoming international students to apply

for either a Visa or a MasterCard from their regular bank before leaving their home country. This card

should be able to connect to Internet banking.

We are experiencing a high demand for several of our courses, especially within the study areas of

business and humanities, which means that your students must be aware of that we cannot guarantee

all of their preferred choices. Due to this we will also need to be more strict concerning requests of

studies within an area which is not covered by our exchange agreement. We will only accept students
