INCLUDED BENEFITS & SAVINGS

Dear GEHA members:

It’s been an exciting 2019 with many positive changes taking place on behalf of our Association members. As I look forward to my first official Open Season as the President and CEO of GEHA, I am energized by these changes. I am also heartened to know that we continue to be grounded in one thing that remains the same — our commitment to putting our members first.

Our biggest news this year is the introduction of two new Federal Employee Health Benefit (FEHB) plans: Elevate and Elevate Plus. We are honored that GEHA was selected by the Office of Personnel Management to be the exclusive carrier for these new plans as the result of a competitive process that asked for meaningfully different benefit choices for federal employees.

The Elevate and Elevate Plus plans are designed to meet the changing needs of members, including the desire for more wellness-focused plans, digital tools and convenient care. Whether you’re focused on wellness, saving for future health care needs or seeking a traditional benefit plan, GEHA now offers a portfolio of medical plans to meet your needs. This is a significant step forward in our newly refined mission to empower our members to be healthy and well. GEHA is pleased to offer more ways to meet the unique needs of each member.

We are humbled by the trust that you’ve placed in GEHA and the Association we’ve built together. We want to continue to grow in ways that benefit even more members through investments in modern medical and dental plans for the future. Raising our awareness through our partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs and NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes, and expanding our marketing efforts are just a few of the ways we’re bringing our story to more people than ever before. You’ll see us focusing on the theme of “Do Your Possible,” which encourages everyone to take positive steps toward better health.

Our commitment to serving each of you remains at the heart of these efforts and is the inspiration behind GEHA’s refreshed vision to inspire positive outcomes by delivering integrated health and well-being solutions at the best value. This is what we aspire to deliver today, tomorrow and into the future. Thank you for choosing to be an Association member. We deeply value you and will continue to work hard each day to serve you.

Be well,

OUR PRESIDENT

Darren Taylor

STAY HEALTHY WITH A FLU SHOT YOUR FEEDBACK MAKES US BETTER

Getting a flu shot is the best way to protect yourself from the flu. By getting a flu vaccination, you can help protect yourself and your family from its potentially serious complications.

Flu vaccinations cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after the vaccination. These antibodies provide protection against infection with the viruses that are in the vaccine. Ask your health care provider about what vaccine is right for you. geha.com/Find-Care Source: cdc.gov
