All full-time students are eligible to participate. Part-time students must purchase an ARC membership for the entire semester before being eligible. Due to space constraints/demands, faculty/staff/community members are not permitted to play in the fall or winter Intramural leagues, but can play in the summer leagues.

perfOrmance bOnDs anD player/team feesEach team registering into an Intramural league or tournament is required to pay a performance bond. This bond is held as a deposit for a team’s attendance and conduct during league/playoff games. Bonds are fully refundable provided a team has no defaults.

For some Intramural leagues and tournaments a fee is charged. These team/player fees are due at the time of registration (or as outlined on the registration page).

Bond refunds are available for pick-up at the ARC Customer Service Desk beginning August 15 (summer), December 1 (fall), and April 1 (winter). All bond refunds must be picked up by April 20 or they are considered forfeit.

Once the team is registered and the bond/fees are paid, team captains can invite team members to join electronically. We encourage team captains to complete this quickly, as free-agents may be assigned to teams showing low enrollment numbers.

inDiViDual reGistratiOnIf an individual is looking for a team to join, they can register as a free-agent for any league season. In many circumstances, teams are looking for one or two additional players to bolster their roster. Team captains have access to these lists and can invite you to join their team. In other cases, free-agent teams may be created if there is enough interest and space.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a free-agent will get placed onto a team. Individuals that randomly join an existing team without the captain’s permission or being assigned by the Intramural Coordinator may be removed from that roster.

resiDence leaGuesQueen’s offers “Res Leagues” aimed specifically at getting first-year students involved in the Intramural program. These highly-recreational leagues are offered to provide residences buildings/floors the opportunity for a weekly group activity. Basketball, volleyball, and innertube waterpolo leagues are offered specifically for residence teams, however many residences choose to also enter a team into our regular Intramural leagues in many other sports. The only rule – you have to live in residence. Interested groups should contact the Intramural Coordinator directly.
