Bulletin Board at GCT High School Media Center gets the attention of students during the Halloween season.

For National School Lunch Week, NSLW, GCT Elementary Kitchen Manager, Brittany Gunn. planned some fun activities. On Monday, pictures of fruits and vegetables were placed on a spin wheel. Two student names were drawn from each class during each lunch period. Each student had a chance to spin the wheel and whichever fruit or veggie landed on they had to try a bite of the food. If the students ate the fruit or vegetable they won 5 extra minutes of recess totaling 10 extra minutes if both students from each class ate the fruit or veggie. Then on Friday, Brittany had challenged all of her students to eat lunch in the cafeteria. Brittany set a goal of 1200 lunches total for the week and if they reached that goal then she would draw one name from each lunch period to put a pie in Mr. Davis’ face. The kids and staff had a great time! They are already asking her what she is planning for next year! Thank you to GCT Elementary Assistant Principal, Keith Davis, who took pies in the face as a good sport in celebration of National School Lunch Week that was full of activities for students. The students really enjoyed him being a great sport. Thank you to Tanya Turner and Vonnie Greer for the photos and information.
