Emeritus at Gardnerville is nestled in the beautiful Carson Valley surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west and the Pinenut Mountains to the east. We are just 12 miles away from Lake Tahoe with its stunning scenery and abundance of recreational activities.

When people walk into our community, the often exclaim “What a beautiful place!” Our décor resembles a lovely lodge, which makes people immediately feel comfortable. Walking trails surround us, and there is a gazebo with a swing for our residents to enjoy. We offer spectacular views from all areas of our community.

Our schedule of activities includes everything from fitness classes to social events, including live entertainment every Friday at Happy Hour. We also encourage our residents to participate in our outside community events, which include visits to casinos, shopping and restaurants.

In addition, our Director of Resident Care will visit with you on a regular basis to personally discuss health-related issues and to monitor your progress.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Memories made for memories lost Our community offers an innovative program, called Join Their Journey®, for residents with Alzheimer’s or memory disorders. The premise of the program is simple: we create specially designed memory care neighborhoods that pro-vide a personalized, familiar and secure setting tailored to each resident’s unique needs. Within this environment, our highly trained staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity.
