Nine noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political
and sexual intrigue is pervasive. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his
old friend Eddard, Lord Stark, to serve as Hand of the King, or highest official.
Secretly warned that the previous Hand was assassinated, Eddard accepts in
order to investigate further. Meanwhile the Queen's family, the Lannisters, may
be hatching a plot to take power. Across the sea, the last members of the previous
and deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also scheming to regain the
throne. The friction between the houses Stark, Lannister, Baratheon and
Targaryen and with the remaining great houses Greyjoy, Tully, Arryn, Tyrell
and Martell leads to full-scale war. All while a very ancient evil awakens in the
farthest north. Amidst the war and political confusion, a neglected military order
of misfits, the Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and icy
horrors beyond. Written by Tfilm78 and CajunmanIMDB. com
GAMES OF THRONES (2015) SEASON 5 RECAP & FINALE PREVIEW

I have watched very episode of Game of Thrones since it launched on HBO on April 17,
2011 and I have to say that Season 5 of Game Of Thrones: Ice and Fire is by far its best
and most ambitious so far in this fantasy series. We have been teased and given dribbles
and drags of its cable cinematic greatness past season from the Blood Wedding, birth of
Dragons, first images of the White Walkers undead army, slave rebellions, chopping off
the Jamie Lannister aka the King slayers hand, The Hound vs Brienne of Tarth in a battle
to the death, the sudden assassination of not only young King Lannister, but then his uncle
and all-powerful Tywin Lannister. And I felt Season 4 of GOTH was more dramatic and
full of plot twists to properly set up this action packed and exciting GOTH Season 5. And
HBO and GOTH producers smartly and faithfully follow George R.R. Martins books.

But I gotta say that HBOs Game of Thrones this season has blown the doors off
anyones expectations. I can sum up the nine compelling, well-written and powerful
episodes with two words: unpredictable and stability. Now one can say how can those two
words unpredictable and stability make sense let alone drive GOTHs devoted and rapidly
growing fan base crazy this season? It is Season 5 that Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) has
finally returned to Winterfell which is stability, but her arranged marriage by the Petry
Littlefinger Belish (Aidan Gillen) to the sadistic Ramsay Bolton (Michael McElthon)
leaves many unpredictable risks for Sansa. Cersi Lannister (Lena Heady) manages to
strengthen and empower the religious Sparrows which brings fanatical cult stability to
Kings Landing just to get her power rival Margarey Tyrel (Natalie Dorman) and her
brother arrested. But the unpredictable part is that the Sparrows turned on Cersi and had
her arrested as well for her past sins. After Robert Staniss army defeated the Wildings
Rob Snow (Kit Harrington) is chosen to be The Walls leader, but then unpredictably Rob
has to reluctantly leave with the Wildings leader on a suicide mission to make peace with
the Wildings. Daenerys Targereon (Emilia Clarke) settles in as ruler of Meereen before her
quest to reclaim the iron throne, but she is constantly challenged by Meereens former rich
slave owners who call themselves the Sons of the Harpy. Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline
Christie) finally finds Sansa Stark to honor her vow to protect her, but she is rejected by
Sansa and has to wait outside Winterfell until she gets a signal that she needs her help. And
Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) reaches Braavos and is accepted into the House of Black and
White and begins her journey as an assassin apprentice, but suddenly she jeopardizes her
secret training to settle an old score. And Tyrion Lannister manages to escape his death
sentence in Kings Landing only to find himself captured by slavers and facing castration.
So repeatedly in Season 5 of GOTH all of the main characters manage to get a solid sense
of stability in their lives only to have it ripped apart by an unpredictable event or person.
And despite the social media and feminist blogger driven controversy about Sansa Stark
getting savagely raped by Ramsay Bolton on her wedding night in Episode 6: Unbowed,
Unbent, Unbroken I could say this has been the most balanced, and adventurous seasons

for many of the women lead roles and supporting roles in Game of Thrones. And I kinda
think it is hypocritical for any viewers male or female to want to boycott GOTH over Sansa
being raped but her humiliation when Ramsay forces Reek to watch him rape Sansa, but in
Season 4 when Ramsay sexually humiliated and suffered a brutally painfully penectomized
Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) aka Reek at the end of Season 3 of GOTH. I guess traumatic
male sexual pain was not worthy to quit watching Game of Thrones for two more seasons?
The first episode of Season 5 actually starts as female empowering sign because we see a
flashback of a young Cersi Lannister being told by a witch fortune teller that one day a
younger and more beautiful woman will usurp all the power and prestige she has obtained.
The flashback then jumps to GOTH present and we see Margarey Tyrel now the Queen of
Westeros ignoring and belittling Cersi openly in public. This starts a mini-war between
them that brings back Margareys cunning mother Olenna Tyrell (Diane Riggs, who I still
love for role in the UK spy series The Avengers) to free Margarey and Loras Tyrell (Finn
Jones) imprisoned by the unmerciful Sparrows. And in Dorne we have Ellaria Sand (Indira
Varma) the lover of the slain Oberyn Martel and the beautiful, exotic and deadly Sand
Snakes--the bastard daughters of Obyern, Obara Sand (Keisha Castle-Hughe) Tyene Sand
(Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) and Nymeria Sand (Jessica Henwick). The Sand Snakes plot to
kidnap Princess Myrcella Baratheon who gets to strongly tell Jaime that she is in love and
marrying Prince Trystane Martell. Season 5 has many female-driven and important scenes.
And by GOTHs episodes 8 and 9 we finally see memorable scenes like the Night Ice Kings
massive and almost unstoppable army of undead, a giant stopping zombies, the King
raising the dead, the brutal burning of Stansas daughter Princess Shireen, Meereens gory
and bloody fighting pits, Drogon saving Daenerys from Sons of the Harpy and then we
end with the Mother of dragons riding off on the back Drogon. I am was in GOTH ecstasy
and cant wait to see the finale of Season 5. And Ill savor every second because I dont
know when Ill get a Season 6 of Game of Thrones. I easily give GOTH Season 5 $$$$$.
