rough edges of life in another century. In Snowflake Bently she uses strong

black lines to create pleasing patterns of individual snowflakes.

MARY AZARIAN? Who is

This illustrator is probably one of the best-known creators of fantasy in

children’s books. One of his classic books was turned into an animated movie and is repeatedly viewed by

many during the Christmas season. He also illustrated Jumanji, The Widow’s

Broom, Two Bad Ants and The Stranger.

CHRIS VAN ALLSBURG? Who is

This author and illustrator uses watercolor-and-pencil collages in his

works. He wrote a picture book about a boy named Moses and his deaf

classmates who go to a concert and learn a unique way to listen to music. He most recent work is Arbeit Macht

Frei, Work Sets You Free.

ISAAC MILLMAN? Who is

This illustrator’s work strikes emotion in readers in the book Martin’s Big Words. In fact, his illustration on the cover of this book speaks for itself and
