Gabriel ’s musical journey began in Lawrence, Massachusetts where Gabr ie l ’s Domin i can father, a percuss ion is t , he lped form h is son’s ear l iest mus i ca l memor ies . Ch i ldhood would later f ind Gabr ie l d i s cover ing h is own mus i c iansh ip when the fami ly moved to DeLand, F lor ida where Gabr ie l sang in church cho i rs and learned a range of inst ruments inc lud ing f lute , saxophone, and p iano. Outs ide of church , Gabr ie l mainta ined a steady d iet of h i s parents’ mus i ca l cu l ture coupled with the pop and jazz i cons of the day inc lud ing Michael Jackson, Grover Wash ington Jr. , S tev ie Wonder, Toto , Chuck Mangione, and Dav id Sanborn .

These mus i ca l gu ideposts led Gabr ie l to study mus i c at Lee Un ivers i ty in Tennessee, but a cancer d iagnos is , subsequent months of t reatment , and an eventual mi racu lous heal ing after p lay ing a concert wi th worsh ip art i s t Ron Kenoly set Gabr ie l on a new path to fu l l - t ime mus i c min i s t ry. Extens ive work with churches throughout the Southeast a l lowed Gabr ie l to hone h is inst rumenta l , voca l , and engineer ing abi l i t ies , sk i l l s which would serve h im wel l in h i s new dest inat ion : the Nashv i l le Mus i c scene.

Dur ing h is tenure in Nashv i l le , Gabr ie l p layed on and produced a number of sess ions for K ings Mounta in Records inc lud ing two No. 1 B i l lboard s ing les , C rysta l Dove’s “Unt i l You Come Back to Me” and Temar Underwood’s “ Ins ide Out .”

H i s Nashv i l le per iod a lso found Gabr ie l performing and co l laborat ing with a range of art i s ts inc lud ing Alv in S laughter, Gary Ol iver, Ron Kenoly, Geron Dav is , Chr i s t Church Cho i r, Jentzen Frank l in , and Rasca l F lat ts .
