GENDER TRAINING Selected comments from trainees:

Training helped establish that ‘gender’ is not about women.

Until now thought ‘women only’ seating and job allocation wasdiscriminatory – now understand the issues more clearly

Now understand why information needs to be sourced fromfemale as well as male household members – male’s are not

aware of the aspirations and roles of women.

BRAC – GBDC COLLABORATION

The area (quantitative) coverage by GBDC activities withBRAC is modest, but considering the aspects of

qualitative growth & sustainability of agro based

technology adoption, the initiatives proved as highly

positive development actors in rural Bangladesh.

BRAC has developed a complete Aquaculture technical

team of 20 development workers which was a prime

objective of the collaboration between BRAC and World

Fish (GBDC & CSISA-BD).
