GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT Course Objective This Graduate Diploma course equips students with the strategy and techniques of procurement for managing the upstream supply chain in an organisation. This specialised course comprises 3 modules: one taught module of Procurement Strategy (PS); one module of Online Learning (OL) on procurement management; and one module of Management Project (MP) that requires students to undertake a digital research on new and emerging trends in the global markets, where such developments can have an impact on the procurement management of an organisation. Course Duration & Frequency This part-time course can be completed within four months. The course is intensive and requires students to attend the class sessions either once or twice a week. Delivery & Assessment Our faculty comprises highly experienced practitioners with the requisite academic and professional qualifications. The Online Learning module provides flexibility for students to learn at their own pace, and after completing the learning videos they will take an online examination. The Management Project module requires students to attend regular class sessions so that they can be closely guided to complete the project requirements. In this module, students are assessed on two assignments and a short presentation. In the PS module, students will sit for an examination at the end of the module. Students are also expected to search relevant websites for the purposes of learning and research. Admission Criteria An applicant must be at least 30 years old, have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, and have a qualification not lower than a Degree recognised by SIPMM. Applicants are advised that this is a leadership level course, and the stated criteria are consideration for admission approval. All applications are subject to approval by the Academic Board.
