We will continue to grow and improve the magazine, but we also need your help to let us know off any useful info you would like to see on our pages and what’s on in the community as only LINK reaches the doors that other media don’t reach.

We have a some good feedback on our new look magazine, so thank you for all the feedback received and we have made some amends based on this, as at the end of the day this is your local magazine.

Constantines Restaurante

Located in what has become Blackpool’s South Shore dining hotspot on Highfield Road, Constantine’s opened in 2008 and offers both Italian and British cuisine in a vibrant and warm atmosphere. The restaurant has a very Mediterranean feel inside with large exotic murals on the walls and contemporary furniture. It is split into two areas, a comfortable bar for pre-dinner drinks and a main dining area with room for 50 diners in all. The ethos here is value for money with all food freshly prepared on the premises using local suppliers where possible but at keen prices. Expect dishes such as sea bass, shoulder of lamb, pork loin and steaks all

cooked with fresh sauces and priced at around £10. They have a weekly changing specials board and an early bird menu from just £8.99 for 2 courses and a drink. Parties of up to 50 people can hire out the restaurant and plenty of on-street parking is always free. Constantine’s is open Monday to Saturday, 5-10pm and Sunday, 3-8pm.

Blackpool optician is urging parents

not to leave their child’s sight to

chance, encouraging them to take

advantage of the FREE eyecare they

are entitled to.

Lisa Barrett from Red Bank Opticians Kodak Lens Vision Centre in Bispham says too many parents are leaving their child’s eyecare in the hands of their schools, which are not always obligated to provide regular sight tests.

“School eyetests have become a postcode lottery, and too many parents assume that their children’s sight is being monitored at school, when it isn’t. Children’s sight tests are free, and can detect problems before their education is affected, so are abolutely vital,” said Lisa.

A recent study by Which? discovered that despite a recommendation for a national screening programme, one in 10 primary care trusts (PCTs) fails to arrange any vision testing for four to five year olds.

Regular eye examinations are recommended for everyone, but for young eyes with rapidly developing eyes, it is even more essential. A study by the College of Optometrists tested 1,000 school children concluding that 24% of the children had

significant levels of astigmatism and displayed significantly reduced vision compared to their peers.

Depending on the age of the child, the eye examination may be the same as that of an adult, however it is altered to suit the child’s capability. Should your child require glasses they will receive an NHS voucher to cover all or part of the cost depending on the frame and lenses chosen. In most cases no additional costs are incurred by the parents.

Editorial: With copy supplied by you, editorial content equal to the size of your advert is an optional extra. Minimum booking three months.

Series Discounts: Are available for 3, 6 and 12 months bookings in the same publication and offers better discounts than booking on a monthly basis. LINK Magazine has an 80%+ re booking rate for all series booking of 3 months or more.

When advertising in more than one of our titles, we offer a 25% discount on any extra magazines booked. This discount also counts against a series booking saving you even more. This cost effective option allows you to spread you advertising across our magazines at reduced rates.
