2015-2016 Annual Report

COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS

FCS is committed to taking its services where they are needed most. Our Community-based programs are located at partner agencies or delivered directly to clients throughout the communities we serve.

• 3,034 Parents & Children were served at five United Way Family Resource Centers operated by FCS.

• 447 Children & Caregivers received services through our Relative Caregiver Program.

• 391 Individuals attended our Financial Education Workshops.

• 139 people attended Survivors of Suicide Loss support groups

COUNSELING

FCS has a long history of providing counseling and case management services and all our programs are based in clinical practice. Last year we provided:

• FCS Crisis Intervention Specialists took 23,854 calls on our 24/7 Crisis Call Line.

• Family Focused Solutions Life Coaches provided welfare to work assistance to 887 Individuals at more than 30 Tennessee Department of Human Services.

• 910 Individuals received counseling from FCS Counselors at FCS and more than a dozen community-based locations.

• FCS provided Strengthening Families training to 213 Children & Caregivers throughout our community.

• Wendy’s Wonderful Kids found permanent, loving forever families for 6 children in state custody in Nashville and Memphis.

HEALTH CARE ACCESS

Access to affordable healthcare not only improves health outcomes, it impacts financial stability, employment, child wellbeing, and much more for vulnerable families.

• FCS served 3,341 Tennesseans through the Get Covered TN initiative.

• Health Assist Tennessee helped 6,276 clients find low and no-cost community-based health care.

• FCS Language Services provided 4,792 hours of interpretation for social service and medical appointments.
