Dear Daniel Kelly,

Grant Application for the Really Really Free Market and Festival

This is to follow up on our previous conversation on the 12/11/2011, to which you expressed an enthusiastic interest in the possible approval of a grant for our event. I have included a copy of our event proposal with this letter for you to review.

As you know there is no recorded evidence of a Really Really Free Market and Festival (RRFM) ever being held in Ireland before, meaning this will be a hallmark event for Ireland, hopefully leading to a large amount of media exposure for our message. Our main aims for this event is to bring the local area around the venue much closer, instilling a feeling of community spirit while at the same time restore the positivity back into the giving aspect of charity, we are also trying to restore some trust in businesses and so are involving as many of the local businesses as possible. With a really fun day planned and all proceeds going to the Ross Nugent Foundation, we are confident this event will be received very well by the local community and be a huge success!

Our organization have decided to put a little spin on the usual way these events are run and have incorporated a festival theme into the event with live bands playing and have also included a childrens area to entertain the kids, this is in attempt to attract as wide an audience as possible so everyone in the community is included. This is in synchronisation with your mission statement;

“The mission of The Ireland Funds is to be the largest worldwide network of people of Irish ancestry and friends of Ireland dedicated to raising funds to support programs of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development throughout the island of Ireland”

We hope you take our proposal into consideration as we believe events like this may spread organically if managed correctly. If they manage gain enough momentum and media exposure in the early stages they could be extremely beneficial to local communities they directly affect and to the Irish society as a whole

If you have any questions, or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Faithfully
