On December 21, 2012, Fujitsu semiconductor Limited transferred its ownership of LSI assembly and test facilities of Fujitsu Integrated Microtechnology Limited to J-Devices Corporation.

The products that have been made at the assembly and test facilities will be produced by J-Devices and will continue to be supplied to customers through Fujitsu Semiconductor with the same high standards for quality, delivery, and service.

Therefore, please be noted that the organization of the Fujitsu Semiconductor Group indicated in this document has been revised as follows;

Application-Oriented Solutions Accelerating Cutting-Edge Markets

In order to help our customers today and respond to the demands of the next-generation market with our cutting-edge technologies, Fujitsu Semiconductor is focusing our capabilities on the four areas that demand the most revolutionary technologies: mobile, automotive, video equipment, and high performance (industrial equipment). We are supporting innovations in each of these fields through our LSI integration capabilities. For example, we provide high-frequency technology and encryption technology to support next-generation mobile environments, dashboard environments and advancements in in-vehicle networks to accelerate the intelligence of vehicles; solutions for audio-video equipment to bring new experiences of images; and high-performance supercomputers and optical transmission devices for upgrading social infrastructures.

Automotive

In the automotive field, where there are continual advances in driving, safety and environmental performance, Fujit su Semiconductor is developing graphic s L SI solut ions for next-generat ion dashboards that display a variety of highly detailed information. In terms of in-vehicle networks, we have developed the LSI for a network solution for information and video in addition to the CAN and

FlexRay control systems. Together with in-vehicle equipment manufacturers and vehicle manufacturers, we contribute to advances in automotive through highly durable products, a wide array of microcontroller product families, and a global development framework.

Mobile

Fujitsu Semiconductor provides infrastructure and terminal solutions for next-generation high-speed wireless communication such as LTE, and 4G in order to realize an advanced mobile network society in which networks can be accessed anywhere through a wide array of devices. In addition, we are working on wireless sensor networks and smart grids. Moreover, we are focusing on the greatest challenge of mobile devices, which is power management to extend the battery operating time. We are also aiming to reduce the power consumption of mobile devices through more efficient and lower powered equipment such as power supply ICs, LEDs, and microcontrollers.

High Performance (Manufacturing Equipment)

Fujitsu Semiconductor boasts an unparalleled performance record and overwhelming technical prowess, including development of CPUs for the "next-generation supercomputer" being promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology; components enabling 100Gbps optical

transmission; and ASICs for servers. We are providing cutting-edge technologies in the industrial field, which demands high performance and high reliability. Responding to Diverse Needs with Cutting-edge LSI

The market keeps demanding more of LSIs: higher performance, higher functionality, and higher quality, in addition to smaller sizes, reduced weight, and lower power consumption. All this, plus the assurance of a stable supply throughout the world, Responding to these diverse customer needs requires an LSI partner that excels at integration capabilities. Fujitsu Semiconductor's cutting-edge LSI make us a powerful partner for our customers.

ASSP

Fujitsu Semiconductor provides ASSPs (ICs for special purposes) for various systems from personal computers, mobile phones, and communication networks to power supplies, files, image processing, and HDTV. This product line includes USB 3.0-SATA bridge LSIs for PCs and digital audio visual equipment; RF transceiver LSIs that support the LTE communication mode for communication network equipment; transcoders, multi-decoders, and codecs for image processing; the "Milbeaut" image-processing system LSI for digital cameras; and image-processing engines for implementing high-quality image for HDTV. This accumulation of cutting-edge LSI technologies provides for the development of products offering high performance and high functionality.

ASIC

Fujitsu Semiconductor provides ASIC solutions optimized for our customers' needs based on our wide range of 65nm to 28nm technologies, helping shorten development periods, reduce development costs, and improve product quality. Furthermore, we offer a diverse range of IP macros, including CPU, media processing, image processing, and communication interfaces developed both by us and through third-party partnerships, to respond to the diverse demands and support our customers' development of cutting-edge SoC.

Wafer Foundry Service

The standard procedure at our foundry service is to receive the full layout data as designed by our customers, then to generate masks and produce the wafers. Based on the customer’s requirements we can also offer wafer sorting, assembly and LSI module tests. Our support team makes every effort to satisfy customers' requests.

Packaging

Fujitsu Semiconductor produces a comprehensive lineup of packages, enabling the company to offer the ideal package for specific applications to meet customers’ needs. Low-k materials are being widely used as wafer process technology evolves towards a smaller feature size. We were among the first to handle this issue and have been providing highly reliable packages. We have also led other companies in addressing environmental issues by, for example, developing lead-free and halogen-free packages and by introducing biodegradable packing trays.

MemoryFujitsu Semiconductor provides high-quality and high-performance FRAM as the core memory for our systems. FRAM features high writing speeds, low power consumption, and high read/write durability with the ability to perform 1 trillion read/write cycles. The technology is provided in FRAM products such as general-purpose standalone memory, and LSIs for RFID.

Microcontrollers with built-in flash memory and FRAM that were developed under the "FF Value" strategy are being supplied to our customers worldwide. In addition to the New 8FX Family for domestic and Asian markets, the F2MC-16FX family and FR family are supplied to global markets, and there is continuing expansion of the product lineups. With the addition in 2010 of microcontrollers utilizing the ARM Cortex-M3 CPU core, we offer an even more complete lineup and provide MCUs that are suitable for a wide range of applications. Furthermore, we have added high-performance system controllers with built-in graphics functionality to our lineup for the next generation of automotive systems that have higher functionality and combine more functions. We also provide the best development environment for our customers through a variety of middleware libraries for implementing software processing that has been dependent on the dedicated LSI, and through strong partnerships with development tool vendors.

Total elimination of PFOS (Per-fluoro octane sulfonate) has been completed throughout the entire company in accordance with the regulations on PFOS.

At the Fujit su Semiconductor Technologies, "electric double-layer capacitors" that can store electr ic it y have been introduced as a measure against instantaneous voltage drop. A lso, refrigerators, boilers, and other equipment have been updated with higher efficiency equipment. This enables us to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
