You can put the key in pocket, pull the handle and open the door without using the key or touching remote controller.

After entering the vehicle, you can start up only by turning the startup button. This is the currently prevalent “intelligent no-key entering and startup system”.

The remote function of no-key entering system is convenient and practical. For example, with an umbrella in one hand and some other things in another, it might be difficult for you to open the door. Putting this system in your pocket, you can open it easily.

Generally, drivers have to insert the key to start up a car. Energy-absorbing Frame

Energies of collision from front face can be transferred to floor and doorsill through front longeron to pole A and up edge geam. Parts of longeron and floor are laser tailor welded to guarantee energy absorbing capability of vehicle body and the maximum strength ofpassenger cabin for sake of passengers escaping from the vehicle in accident. 。

Side collision area (Pole A, B and doorsill, etc.) uses lots of dead-hard steel with higher yield strength and tensile strength than general steel plate, which improves anti-collision capability of vehicle body greatly and reduce distortion of vehicle body to the maximum degree during

side collision reserving living space in passenger cabin.

An energy-absorbing part is added to rear end of the vehicle to promote safety performance largely.

2-level crushable steering column

In face collision, crushable steering column will be crushed and distorted to the two front poles. The crushed spaces are 80mm and 50mm respectively. As a result it will not intrude into the cab reducing or avoiding driver from being wounded by steering wheel.

But the 2550 wheelbase makes A3 awkward in the positioning, it don’t come up to the compact A segment sedan but do not want to be treated as a small car. So it create a concept of A0 (B00), the third generation sedan.

The overall shape of A3 is seemed popular today, but every detail is actually not what so impressive, the styling is also more moderate.

Chery A3’s body was designed by a Italian design firm, Pininfarina, less famous than GIUGIARO S.P.A., which designed the FSV.

Combined with popular and sporty element. The lines are designed with the feeling of power, make a sense of strong and dynamic.


Lots of dynamic elements like cut lines on bonnet and small decorative grille are strong and vigorous.

Chery A3’s interior color is ranked from black to gray and seemed more bleak. Not every consumer like that. The interior workmanship is rough with large gap in places of joint. Some borders and corners can see glitches. Relative to its appearance, the interior decoration is slightly lower grade.

Central console divided in two parts from up to down. Light yellow design of the part below match with inner trim makes a warm family atmosphere.


The size of the instrument panel clearly some small, red backlit instrument panel lack of decorative metals, do not seem to give driver clear and deep impression.

Chery A3 is equipped with the ACTECO SQR481F 1.6L engine. It is a high-revving engine, and only at high speed situation it can have the more output of torque. From the data in terms of its maximum power of 87.5 kilowatts / 6159rpm and maximum torque of 147 cow / 4300rpm seems good, but the weight reached 1.39 tons, so the daily driving will feel powerless.

This 1.5L engine developed by Brilliance Auto employs Toyota technologies and many other latest technologies providing more power than 1.6L engines with lower fuel consumption than 1.4L ones.
