1. Polyhedron
A polyhedron is a solid bounded by flat polygonal surfaces.
VERTEX Three or more
edges intersect at a point
EDGES Where faces
intersect at line segments.
FACES These are
polygons and their interiors of the polyhedron.

TetrahedronIt is a polyhedron which consists of 4 faces, 6 edges, and 4 vertices.

Prism
A prism is a polyhedron with two congruent parallel faces called bases. The other faces are parallelograms which connect the corresponding sides of the bases. These faces are called lateral faces.

Pyramid
A pyramid is a polyhedron with a polygon as base and triangles as lateral faces.
2. Cylinder
A cylinder is a solid very similar to a prism, except that its bases are two congruent circles (not polygons) on parallel planes.
The axis of a cylinder is the segment connecting the centers of its two circular bases.
The height of a cylinder is the distance between the planes of the bases.

A cylinder is called a right circular cylinder if its axis is perpendicular to its bases.

A cone is a solid bounded by a circle and all the line segments joining each point of the circle to a fixed point not in the plane of the circle.
The fixed point is called the vertex of the cone.
The radius of a cone is the radius of its circular base.

A cone is called a right circular cone if its axis is perpendicular to its base.
Its axis is the segment connecting the vertex with the center of the base.
The slant height of a right circular cone is the length of a line segment whose endpoints are the vertex and a point on the circle.

A sphere is the set of all points in space which are equidistant from the fixed point called the center.
A radius of a sphere is a segment whose endpoints are the center of the sphere and a point on the sphere.
A chord of the sphere is a segment whose endpoints are points on the sphere.
A diameter of the sphere is a segment that contains the center, and whose endpoints are the points on the sphere.

A tangent to a sphere is a line that intersects the sphere at exactly one point.
