What type of reader is targeted?How do you know this? (Try and give examples)

This magazine is targeted at teenagers interested in letting out their artistic side.Promoting the school/colleges art facilities using a students drawing as the back ground.

How can the reader interact with the magazine?

The reader of a school magazine will most likely be a student, so the content will relate to them as it has been written for them. The main image is of a young a girl of the reader’s age which will help them relate to the magazine and its content; they are the same age and so have similar interests etc.

Describe the images on the front cover - focus on: clothes, facial expression etc

Bright vibrant colours as the mise-en –scene creates a good mood feel which is also represented in the girls facial expression as she is smiling. Real student focus as the background image is of a student’s work

What else appears on the cover? Look at the language and punctuation used for the coverlines

Not a lot of text is used in the front cover it is like they are letting the image speak for its self it is very colourful and eye catching.

Explain the use of typefaces (font), graphics and colours used

Bright tropical colours used in the students drawing creates a sense of happiness and placing the girl in front of the images makes you think that she is the proud owner of the drawing.

How are men and women represented (shown; how do they look?)

Females are represented through colours and smiling faces.
