From the Pastor’s Heart
Greetings Southside Family,
We are so glad you chose to join us for worship this morning. Our prayer is that
you discover the presence of God as we worship today. If you are a first time
guest then let me be the first to welcome you. I would like to encourage you at
the end of the service to stop by our guest table located at the front of the sanctu-
ary to receive a free gift and further information about our church family.
A special thank you to everyone who brought supplies and helped with packag-
ing the shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Every gift-filled shoebox is a
powerful tool for evangelism and discipleship, transforming the lives of children
and their families around the world through the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Each one of the boxes that we filled and shipped will have an eternal impact!
Next Sunday will be Youth Sunday. Several of our youth will be assisting with
the music, leading out in prayers and testimonies, as well as participating as ush-
ers and greeters. Our youth are not the future, they are the present! I am so grate-
ful for the youth at Southside and the leadership that Dewayne and Pam provide.
Let’s do our best to encourage and include our youth. Thank you church for as-
sisting the Youth Fruit Fundraiser. They have exceeded their required number of
boxes!
Mark your calendars for November 18th as we will be hosting “Greater Vision”
for our Thanksgiving concert. Our annual church-wide Thanksgiving meal will
be that evening as well.
In Christ,
Stacy Stafford

Good Morning!
This morning, I am pleased to introduce you to Terry Williams, Terry has been a great friend
of mine for over 5 years. He has been a wonderful mentor and someone I can look up to! For
the past two days our choir has been in a clinic with Terry and his wife Earlene on the bibli-
cal aspect of worship! Terry Williams has served as Team Strategist
of Music and Worship Ministries at the Florida Baptist Convention
since 2002. Prior to his appointment to this position, Terry had been
a worship pastor in churches in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. He
attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Fort Worth,
Texas and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson
University in DeLand, Florida. His passion for worship combined
with his experience as a music minister and worship leader for over
35 years gives him a unique perspective and insight for coaching,
consulting, training, and inspiring today’s worshipers. Terry is the
Director of the 600 member Florida Worship Choir & Orches-
tra. Under his direction, this team has led worship concerts in Cov-
entry, England, the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia, Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia, as well as Carnegie Hall, Central Park, and Brooklyn Tabernacle in New
York. They have also recorded 3 choir & orchestra projects with Prism Music. Terry and his
wife Earlene live in Ocala, FL and have two children and five grandchildren.
Let's warmly welcome Terry and Earlene Williams to Southside this morning!

Happy Sunday morning to all,
In my devotional book, ‘Jesus Calling’, the author states that challenging times wake you up
and amplify your awareness of needing His help. Isn’t that so true? It takes times like that for
us to realize we can’t do this life on our own. We need God’s help. Thank God He is there
for us.
Thank you to everyone who gave money or purchased items for the Samaritan Christmas child
shoeboxes. We were able to fill 200 boxes and people gave over $1400.00 for the shipping!
God is good! Wed. night was awesome watching everyone working together to pack the boxes
and knowing each box was prayed over. Thank you to everyone who made this mission event
such a great success!
I need about 36 varied sized pine cones, if anyone has any that I could have to use for decorat-
ing. Thanks.
Please sign up with me if you are planning to go to the Baptist College of Florida on Thursday
night, Nov.19th to see their Christmas program, ‘A Festive Christmas.’ We will leave the
church at 4:45 p.m. The only cost will be your meal and $1.00 for the driver and gas.
Dec. 2nd we will be going to Todd Farms in Headland for lunch. We will leave Southside at
10:30 a.m. Remember to bring $1.00 for the driver and gas. The cost of the tickets to the Liv-
ing Christmas Tree program in Montgomery have gone up to $7.00. Please get your money to
me when you can as I will need to order the tickets in advance. We will leave on Dec. 11 th at
3:00 p.m. Mark your calendars for Dec. 15th for the Christmas Sr. Adult luncheon. The menu
will be: Chicken Almondine, Brocolli casserole, rice/gravy, red velvet cake.
I will be taking the children back to the Children’s Home on Fri. night, Dec. 4th, and will an-
nounce the time later.
Love and appreciate each of you,
Mrs. Rhonda

Good morning,
If you are interested in reserving seats for the National Peanut Festival Parade, they’re going fast!!!
The student ministry is in the midst of three fundraisers to help offset some of the cost of our winter conference, WIRED summer camp, and a mission trip in July. I have been over-whelmed with an outpouring of support for this endeavor. I would like to take time to allow each of you in on the vision of our student ministry. You may have noticed in the logo that represents the student ministry the verse, 1 Timothy 4:12. This verse could be considered the student ministry mantra. “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” (NLT) This is to say that we are to be examples, in the way we live our lives, to everyone regardless of age. Part of this vision is to be a workforce for Christ, in carrying out the charge Jesus gave in Matthew 28:19-20, to go make disciples, and teach these new disci-ples. Student disciples making disciples leads to exponential growth within the body of be-lievers. The winter conference is to build up their personal relationship with Christ through worship, gospel centered preaching, and a few hours snow skiing. WIRED is one of the best opportunities for the students to reach out into our local community. Through this camp they are exposed to needs within the city that most never knew existed. Then the summer mission trip is to get them out of their comfort zones and begin looking for opportunities to help other church bodies build excitement for Christ. Please be in prayer for our SBC 1TIMOTHY 4:12 Student Ministry as we prepare for our mission ahead.
Thank you for your prayers and support!!

TIME TO ORDER POINSETTIAS !
We will be placing poinsettias in the sanctuary on Dec. 6th, 13th and 20th. If you would like to place one in honor of or memory of someone,
there will be order cards placed around the church. Fill out the card, place it in an envelope along with your money, and put in the offering plate.
You may also see Rebecca Southerland or Janice Kelley to place your order. BE SURE TO MARK which Sunday you prefer to have your poinsettias in the
sanctuary. You may pick up your poinsettia after the service, or you can leave it for decorations until Dec. 20th and pick up after that service.
