Can we identify drug-like molecules in foods?

The machine learning models based on propagated interactome network were able to predict anti-cancer drugs and potential repositioning candidates, with classification accuracy ~90%.

Relevant genes and pathways for machine learning based prediction of anti-cancer therapeutics tested in human trials. Up-to 15 gene-encoding proteins were selected from representative pathways.

• ~110 cancer-beating components from various foods were discovered

• Many hold Anti-inflammatory, Anti-oxidant & Chemo-preventive properties
