Previously he did research and taught classes through the Department of Horticul- tural Science at the University of MN. Mike Heger, Ambergate Gardens Mike opened Ambergate Gardens 26 years ago.. Prior to starting the nursery, Mike worked in public horticulture for more than 15 years at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The perennials he offers are grown in Minnesota, and are particularly suited for landscapes in similar regions. Mike shares his hands--on knowledge to help you choose the “right plant for the right place”. Using his informative book, Growing Perennials in Cold Climates. Holasek Greenhouse Carol Holasek with Earl Holasek Greenhouses and Diana Hoyt w/Hooked on Fairies (Holasek’s in- house fairy expert) have come together to demon- strate just how fun and easy it is to create your own mystical fairy wonderland using terrarium gardening, succulents and fairy gardening items. Visit our booth and be the first to see some of Holasek’s new and fun items for spring and Di- ana’s unique and one of a kind fairy items. Her fairy gardening line consists of over 400 different items. Many items will be available for purchase Lucinda Kircher A Shorewood resident, Lucinda dreamt of keeping bees long before taking a U of Mn course on Bee Keeping. In 2001, under the mentorship of Jo- hannes Wiersm of Meadow Brook Apiary she kept her 1st hives at Westwood Nature Center in St. Louis Park. Since then all her hives ( 3-5) are kept on the North end of Lake Virginia. Honey harvest yields range from 70 -300 lbs and Lucinda has cap- tured 4 swarms.
