Goals

BOND-IN is a project, which provides a range of activities in the textile/clothing and design about thermowelding technology .

The initiative is made in collaboration with a group of leader enterprises, representing the whole creative and productive supply chain, with the goal of creating synergies between all the players involved in the development or in the application of this technique, and all those who will be interested.

They represent:The companies who developed the technology and its applicationsManufacturing companies able to apply it and making projects with this technologyManufacturers of materials and researches useful for the application of this technique

BOND-IN, since it’s a project that involves a range of companies, has the opportunity to develop advanced research projects, thanks to the synergies and collaborations that are often the result of a sensitivity and know-how acquired with the experience over the years.

Thermowelding is an innovative system of assembly of two or more fabrics / materials, using adhesives thermo-reagents.This technology offers solutions experimentation unpublished and futuristic for details and / or decorations, up to the possibility of being able to make garments entirely welded, where the seams are replaced entirely by the application of this technology.You will have the opportunity to revolutionize the design approach tied to one end, and the production methods and decorative connected to it.

The use of thermowelding let to assemble fabrics / materials or semi-finished products, in a alternative way to traditional seams. The related machining of union, cutting and finishing allow to obtain a final effect of extreme cleanliness, precision and lightness.





:: Allows to replace the traditional construction of a flap in the assembly of a head;

:: Significant reduction of the thickness of the finish;

Through thermowelding broaden the possibility of finishing or decoration aesthetics of a leader. The Brief

Technology as a positive limit to increase creativity toward evolution. The habit, the use of traditional elements, creates a state of stasis in the project. Create a limit or a difficulty is the way to evolve a project.

The limit, which always coincides with the start point, in this case is the technology:positive limit: because it’s against the traditional principles so far used start: because it is the starting point of innovation, evolution. Designing innovative accessories through the use of technology means undermine the old system, use new materials, transform elements so far decorative in mechanism’s gear, change perspective and decontextualizing in order to change the recognized function. To do this, using technology as a positive limit / start of the project, I give you a perimeter within you should remain so that your creativity won’t be lost and so that the creative energy will remain well focused to achieve maximum results.


BOND-IN PARISBRIEF



The perimeter is "Rewind." It means going backwards, undermining the formal language, make it incomprehensible, as when it comes to the opposite, but preserving the contents of the accessory function: open, close, connect, loose, button, unbutton, decorate ... But, be careful, nothing that will remember the traditional way to open, close, connect, loose, button, unbutton, decorating, etc., will be accepted as an innovative project. And then, within that scope, I ask you to use a universal and absolute element in order to undermine the foundations, in order to see the world from another perspective, to break away from the formal rules: irony, which I recommend you to never leave.
