FINLOG has been a family run business since the 90’s and as such is able to provide valuable personal assistance to our clients from the design stage to the construction. We specialise in providing you with genuine log buildings made in our factory in Finland, manufacturing our log buildings to the clients individual requirements.

Each FINLOG building is made to last.Our design brief is quality: the result is a superior 88-300mm laminated or solid log (your choice of log size) and 9 part roof system, for which we are proud to offer an endless guarantee (subject to contract).

Laminated logs are so much stronger and stable than non-laminated logs, but non laminated logs give more character.This concept is carried through even to doors and window frames.

All our timber is sourced from Finland and Russia as a result is very slow grown, strong and stable. This is why with the right maintenance we can offer our endless guarantee.

FINLOG has a huge selection of floor plans for you to choose from but 98% of our builds are unique bespoke designs with changes just as YOU want.

To get started either choose one of our standard designs or start a design of your own, we can then look over the design so ensure it meets the relevant regulations. It's always best to visit us, sit down with a coffee and discuss your design ideas.

1. We only use logs from our own sources in Northern Finland. We use our own factory to manufacture Finlog buildings.

2. Floor: You choose, underfloor heating or radiators, triple sealed PU and glass wool insulation.

3. Sub Frame: Laminated beams with C24 grade rafters.

4. Doors & Windows: Choice of insurance approved “secure by design” units or Scandinavian units.

6. Deck: Redwood non grooved deck as standard - option to upgrade to composite

7. Quality: Transportable Building built to surpass BS3632

8. Roof: Our roof system is a 9 component design with a 25 year guarantee.

9. Soffits, Barge Ends and Fascia’s: All painted all around, two coats on exterior faces & soffits.

10. Weather proof: Angled profile to cope with UK weather.

11. Guarantee: We offer an initial 5 year guarantee renewable on re-coating.

5. Paint Coatings: We use a highly UV resistant stain or colour externally and a UV resistant clear coating internally to avoid the logs discolouring.

STEPS TO COMPLETING YOUR LODGE.

1 - Getting in touch and creating a rough plan to get a budget cost.

2 - Pay your deposit.

3 - Agree your plan and fittings and then pay your 1st payment installment. (40%).

4 - The logs are prepared in the factory in Finland (6-12 weeks)*Hand made lodges are fully assembled in the Factory to check everything fits perfectly.

5 - The logs are delivered to the UK.

6 - Pay your 2nd payment installment (40%).

7 - The build crew will arrive to assemble your lodge.

The Dream Starts To Become A Reality

8 - The outside of the lodge is built (1-2 weeks)

9 - Now the hard work really begins with all the inside, fittings, electrics, plumbing etc. being done. (2-6 weeks).

10 - The Lodge is painted in your chosen colour inside & out.

11 -The windows and doors arrive to your spec and are fitted making your lodge a home.

12 - The decking & steps are created.
