PARTNER BIRTHDAYS
ANNIVERSARIES
There were 30 of us who thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the PE Women’s Club last Thursday. Tinkerbelle, aka Andrew Binning, was a sight as Santa’s Little Helper! It was most interesting to hear about the different Christmas customs in other parts of the world and in other cultures.

Members’ Matters
Julia Gooden quoted Nathaniel Hawthorne:
“Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp.
But, if you sit down quietly, it may alight upon you.”
Thought for the Day
Please remember to fill in your choice of members to be on the Board from July 2016/17. We have to
send the names through to RI during December. Please fill in the voting slips and return them to
Linsley Pudney a.s.a.p.
The Tree of Joy is up and running at Greenacres and at Pick ‘n Pay, and Uncle Jumbo’s is going well too. Please all check your duty lists and don't forget
to turn up as others are relying on your help!
Would you like to take your children to help hand out the Christmas presents collected through the Joyful Tree (as Billy Pullen puts it) to the children
at Maranatha Trust? Andrew Binning says it made a huge impression on his children last year!
Speak to Linsley to arrange this.
Bring & Braai social at Uncle Jumbo’s venue on Sunday, 13th December.
Bring your own chairs and something warm to wear and join in the fun of the last night of the
Uncle Jumbo’s Christmas Party.
Hot dogs and hamburgers are for sale by Rotaract, and tea, coffee and fizzy drinks are available
for sale from the Coke Can. Otherwise bring what you want instead.
Any time from 6:30pm
This will be our last Rotary event for 2015.
