Quite often we contemplate the end of time with anxiety and fear: this is not what God wants. Look at the Psalm, where we hear of desperate longing, a thirst for the Lord, that cannot wait. We should not just wait for the Lord with patient endurance, but with impatient longing: what could we desire more than the coming of the Lord, the rising of the dead and an eternity of joy and glory? November Dead Envelopes: Please list the names of your deceased loved ones and place them in envelopes; available at all church doors. Please then place the envelopes in the box on the Sanctuary steps. Y ou may wish to include some monetary offering (cheques made payable to Trustees OFM Clevedon). Christmas Shoebox Appeal: Shoeboxes will be ready to collect from the Narthex this weekend. Please fill them and return by Tuesday 14th November. River of Remembrance: a beautiful river is on the Sanctuary steps. You are invited to bring a photograph or card (max 4” x 6”) with the name of your deceased loved one, giving a visual reminder. Please ensure your name & telephone number are on the back of your picture to ensure the photos are returned. Remembrance Sunday: the 10am Mass will be in memory of all those who lost their lives in two great wars and more recent conflicts. There will be blessing of the wreath and prayers at the memorial after Mass. Please support the British Legion Poppy Appeal by buying from the poppy box. Many Thanks: Mary Bradley would like to thank Father Reg,Father Antony, the PPC, parishioners and friends for their good wishes, cards and generosity on her retirement.
