Religious Ed Classes Wednesday, April 13th, will be held at regular times.
Confirmation Class meets at 6:45 pm at St. Joseph.
Pennies for Vocations: The Knights of Columbus have invited all students and parishioners to
participate in the Pennies for Vocations. All donations will be sent to those who answered God’s
vocational call. For Grades K-9 the collections will be taken on April 13th and 20th. There will also
be a donation jar in the entrance of the church for parishioners.
Virginia Dolajak, President of Bismarck/Mandan Right to Life will be at St. Martin on April 20th at
7:00 pm for a presentation on Abortion. All youth Grades 7-12 from St. Joseph and St. Martin are
invited to attend. Parents are also welcome. Attendance forms were sent home, please sign and return
them by April 13th.
The Mass Comes Alive - Vacation Bible School will be held at St. Joseph. All children,
kindergarten through 4th grade are invited to attend. VBS will take place on June 1st, 8:00 am - 5:00
pm. Registration forms were sent home and are due no later than Wednesday, April 27th. Please
contact Jessie at 873-5006 with any questions or to volunteer.
St. Joseph’s Church Clean-up – Saturday, April 16th - Volunteers are needed for various clean-up jobs at
the church and on the church grounds. Work will begin at 8:30 am and depending on the number of volunteers,
we plan to finish up before noon. Feel free to come and go as needed – any help will be greatly appreciated.

2016 Confirmation Candidate Introductions: Callie Lemer is the daughter of Bill and Bobbe Jo Lemer and the granddaughter of Toby and Patty Lemer. Callie has 1 sister, named Shelby. She has been a member of St. Martin’s her entire life. She is 16years old and in the 10th grade at Hazen High School. Callie works at Krause’s and is involved in FCCLA, basketball, volleyball and track. Callie’s special
prayer intention is for Jacklyn Dunnaway and family. Jacklyn is suffering with cancer and several tumors. She also prays for the souls in purgatory.
Devin Ternes is the son of Terry and Sheila Ternes. Devin has 3 sisters, Hope, Jessica and Sheralynn. He was baptizied at Spirit of Life in Mandan, and has been a member at St. Martin’s for 2 years. Devin enjoys fishing, hunting and camping. Devin’s special prayer intentions are that he learns more about his religion so he has a foundation for a Christian life.
St. Martins Spring Cleanup: will be held on April 23rd from 8:30am to 12 noon. Please come and help with various cleaning projects both indoor and outdoor. Lunch will be served at 12 noon. See you then!

Dr. Ray Guarendi will be at Trinity High School April 13th: Popular clinical psychologist and
radio show host, Dr. Ray Guarendi, will address parents, teachers and others who work with youth
on Wednesday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at the Trinity High School Auditorium in Dickinson. In his talk,
“Standing Strong,” Dr. Ray will combine experience, wit, and humor to foster self-confidence and
peace of mind to those charged with the responsibility of raising and educating youth.
Jubilee Mass will be held on April 27th: Bishop Kagan will celebrate a special Mass for
jubilarians on Wednesday, April 27 at 3 p.m. at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. This year,
those celebrating special anniversaries are: Fr. Marvin Klemmer (50 years), Fr. Joseph Chipson (40
years), Fr. Kenneth Phillips (25 years), and Fr. Glen Michael Millard (10 years).
Thirst 2016, A Eucharistic Conference: Who do you know that is thirsting? Join us October 28-30,

Year of Mercy Pilgrimage: A Year of Mercy pilgrimage to Italy with 206 Tours is taking place
Oct. 3-12, 2016. First stop is Rome for a papal audience at St. Peter's Square. After three days in
Rome, pilgrims will travel throughout the Roman countryside. Stops include the tomb of St. Padre
Pio staying two nights in San Giovanni Rotondo. After visiting Lanciano, Loreto, pilgrims will enjoy
three nights in Assisi, including travel along the Adriatic Coast. Trip includes round trip airfare from
Bismarck, eight nights lodging in first-class hotels, all breakfasts and dinners, admission fees as per

Camp ReCreation is a summer camp located in Richardton and is dedicated to people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities. We need your help! Camp ReCreation is in need of
volunteers The camp sessions are scheduled June 5-9 and June 12-17, 2016. For more information

As many of you know Jalane Mann’s husband, Byron, is very ill. Because of this, she has been out of the office. During her time away, we will be adjusting the office schedule. Liz Lemer, the parish secretary from St. Martin’s, will be available at the St. Joseph Office on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to take care of any parish business.
