Gospel Meditation December 19, 2021 | 4TH SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Blessed Are We – Synod Church
During Advent, we find ourselves looking all the more to Mary as our model
of faith. Whether or not we have any particular devotion to her, the story of
her faith during these Advent days can be transforming for us, if we allow it
to be. Mary’s “yes” to God, her willingness to be and do the impossible,
speaks to all of us who are trying to make sense of the puzzles and pain life
may throw our way.
Christ is a week away! As we begin the countdown, Scripture turns our atten-
tion to St. Joseph, Jesus’ earthly father. Joseph is an example for us too. Look
to him the next time you face an uncertain path, whether it’s a major life
change, like becoming a parent, or a small beginning, like a new day with its
unexpected challenges and opportunities. Then ask him to pray for you to
have the same strength and courage that he showed. Christmas is less a few
days away, and you may be distracted by any circumstances. Take a moment
to acknowledge them as you pray, but try to keep your focus on the Lord. He
is coming as a newborn child who will one day offer his life for you just so you can live with him forever. Focus on the One who is
present in the manager and in your heart. Try to keep your eyes on the Lord and his goodness to you. Trust that as you do, that
goodness will shine through you.
We have received a lot of support during the past time, to build the friendly relationship with God the Father and with each other.
I thank God for our Parish which is a community of Love, Faith and Hope. Thanks to everyone, staff, ministries, and volunteers who
support us, so that our parish grows more and more spiritually and physically.
That in these Christmas holidays we are not a sign of division, but of union, hope and love, of God's presence in the midst of his
people, in the midst of our family. Merry Christmas, Forever United. God bless us !!

The Nativity of the Lord Natividad del Señor Dec. 25
God wants to fill our hearts anew with joy and gratitude for the
greatest gift he could possibly give us - his beloved Son Jesus.
What can we give thanks for in this great feast of the Incarnation?
We can praise and thank God our Father for the fact that the Son
of God freely and joyfully assumed a human nature in order to
accomplish our salvation in it. Jesus came to release the captives
from slavery to sin and to open the gates of paradise once again.
This day the Holy Spirit invites us to make haste - as the shepherds
of Bethlehem did - to adore Jesus our King and Messiah. The Lord
Jesus Christ is our eternal good shepherd who guides and cares for
us unceasingly and who gives us abundant everlasting life and un-
ion with the triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesús vino a liberar a
