ごあいさつ

大阪医科大学は、日本最初の5年制医学専門学校として1927年（昭和

2年）に創立され、昭和の激動、高度成長の時代、平成のバブル崩壊を経て

世界経済の急激な減速、加えて大きな衝撃を受けた東日本大震災に至る

86年の歴史を重ねてきました。

超少子高齢化の到来や、教育・研究・医療制度の構造改革など、最近

のめまぐるしい社会・経済の変容の中においても、本学はその高い公共

性ゆえに、永続的に発展していかなければなりません。

私どもは、本法人の寄附行為第3条に掲げる『この法人は、教育基本法

及び学校教育法に従い、医科大学その他の教育施設を設置し、国際的視

野に立った教育・研究及び良質な医療の実践をとおして人類の福祉と文

化の発展に貢献する人材を育成する』という理念の下、『ホスピタリティ

ある人間性と高い科学性を有する医学を目指す』ことをいま一度強く認

識して最高の教育・研究・診療によって「信頼度ナンバーワン」の医療人

を社会に送り続けることが、本法人の社会的責任と考えております。

そこで、2009年（平成21年）に予防医学を実践する健診施設として地

域社会の人々の健康を守る「健康科学クリニック」を設置、また、2010年

（平成22年）には83年に及ぶ附属看護専門学校での看護教育の実績を携

えて看護学部を開学し、複合大学としての新たな歴史を歩んでおります。

そして2014年（平成26年）には、さらに質の高い能力を有する指導的看

護師（大学教員及び専門看護師）を養成するため、看護学研究科（修士・

博士）を新設することになりました。加えて、来期4月1日をもって学校

法人高槻高等学校と法人合併し、本法人の骨太化・強靭化を目指します。

大阪医科大学は、2017年（平成29年）に創立90周年を迎えますが、

中央手術棟の建築を皮切りに、来たる創立100周年を見据えて病院の全

建替え（高層化）に着手し、より先進的で安全な医療に邁進致します。同

時に、学生支援の一層の充実も、記念事業の一環として進めてまいります。

今後とも、私どもは最優の私立医科大学を目指し、今日の栄光を築かれた

先人の英知に学び、伝統を継承して法人の理念を自覚した医療人を育成し

てまいります。先進・地域医療及び医看融合教育など特色ある大学を目指

し、財政基盤の安定強化を重視して健全性及び透明性のあるガバナンスの

向上に配慮しつつ、21世紀の地域社会のニーズに応えられる教育・研究・

医療機関として、大阪医科大学を永遠に発展させていく所存でおります。

大阪医科大学は1927年に5年制の高槻高等医学専門学校とし

て誕生しました。1952年には新制大学として大阪医科大学になり、

1965年には進学課程が設置され6年制の医科大学として今日に

至っています。2010年には看護学部を併設し、2013年現在、医

学部と看護学部からなる医療系複合大学です。

高槻市にあるキャンパスは阪急電鉄高槻市駅とJR高槻駅に隣接

し、学部と大学院施設、附属病院が集中した大学としては恵まれ

た環境にあります。

本学の建学の精神は「学を離れて医はない」とされ、生涯探究

心を持って進む医療人の育成を理想としています。特に、永年、

大学や附属病院に蓄えられた知財を積極的に社会還元し、競争的

外部資金の獲得を文部科学省科研費や厚労省研究費以外に経産省

や農林省のプロジェクトを中心に展開しています。また、教育理

念は「良き医療人の育成」にあり、学部から卒後研修、大学院医

学研究科を含む、幅広く長期のキャリア形成プログラムを構築し

ています。看護学部看護学科の開設に従い、両学部の学生が共通

した科目を学ぶ「医看融合教育」を実践し、チーム医療の発展に

努めています。2014年4月には、看護学研究科前期・後期課程が

開かれる予定です。

大阪医科大学は、21世紀の医学・医療を支える人材育成が責務

と考えています。そのためには先進的な技術と高い倫理性を持っ

た使命感溢れる教育現場を構築することが教職員の夢であります。

看護学も含めて、教育・研究と臨床のすべてを調和させようと努

力を続けています。高槻を日本のメイヨー［Mayo］にすることが我々

の望みでもあります。

Osaka Medical College was founded in 1927 (Showa 2) as Japan’s fi rst five-year medical school. During our 86-year history we have seen many changes, from the turbulence of the Showa era, the age of rapid economic growth, the bursting of the so-called Heisei bubble and the ensuing rapid deceleration of global economic, and recent the Great East Japan Earthquake from which we received tremendous harm.Even amid the rapid social and economic changes--including a decrease in the number of children and an increase in the number of elderly people, and structural reforms in the education, research and health-care systems--we must continue to grow, given the high level of public responsibility to which we are entrusted. Given the principle advocated in clause 3 of our Articles of Incorporation, which states, “Obeying the Basic Education Law and the School Education Law, our Corporation shall establish a Medical College and other educational facilities, and by providing education, research and quality healthcare from an international perspective we shall foster human resources who will be able to contribute to the welfare of mankind and the development of culture”, our Corporation considers it a social obligation to continue providing society with physicians who command the highest level of trust through the most advanced education, research and medical care, further acknowledging the need to “embrace medical science that encompasses the humanity and the excellent scientifi c ability.”Therefore, we established the Osaka Medical College Health Science Clinic in 2009 (Heisei 21), through which we protect local residents’ health as a facility that implements preventive medicine. Moreover, with the outstanding results of nursing education achieved by our School of Nursing over the past 83 years, we opened the Faculty of Nursing in 2010 (Heisei 22), thus opening a new chapter as a “compound”medical college that encompasses diverse areas of study.Furthermore, we will establish a new Graduate School of Nursing (master’s/doctoral courses) in 2014 (Heisei 26) in order to develop more capable nurses who can serve as leaders/instructors (i.e., as faculty members and nurse specialists). Additionally, on April, 2014 we will merge with Takatsuki Senior High School, an incorporated educational institution, and thus continue the enhancement of the College’s strength.The year 2017 (Heisei 29) will mark the ninetieth anniversary of Osaka Medical College. Starting with the construction of the central surgery ward, we will begin the full reconstruction of the hospital (higher buildings) with focus on the upcoming centennial, thus facilitating safer, more advanced care and promoting student support as part of the commemorative activities. Given our objective of being the fi nest private medical college, we shall continue to learn from the wisdom of our predecessors who have made our present glory possible, and will succeed the tradition of producing physicians who are endowed with an awareness of our corporate principles. Aiming to become a truly distinctive college, which features the advanced community healthcare and the fusion of education in medicine and nursing, we shall continue to develop as an educational and medical institution that is capable of responding to the needs of the local community in the twenty-fi rst century, while at the same time giving consideration to the enhancement of our stability and fi nancial base and the improvement of governance with transparency.

Osaka Medical College was founded in 1927 as a five-year institution called the Takatsuki Higher School of Medicine. In 1952, however, it was reformed as Osaka Medical College with a new system. Subsequently, in 1965 new courses for entrance into a higher-grade school were established, and it was reorganized as a six-year medical college. This system has remained in operation until present time. In 2010 the Faculty of Nursing was added, and as of 2013 it is a “compound” medicalcollege comprising the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Nursing. Our Takatsuki campus is located in the ideal environment, in the vicinity of Hankyu Railway Takatsuki-shi Station and JR Takatsuki Station with convenient access for the departments, graduate school and College Hospital. Our motto--“Medicine does not exist without study (learning)”--expresses our ideal of educating and training medical professionals who constantly engage the spirit of inquiry in their lives. Therefore, we constantly seek to give the intellectual property, as accumulated in the College and the Hospital, back to society. We are also active in fund raising so as to obtain competitive external funds mainly through projects related to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, besides the research funds provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Furthermore, the founding principle is “to educate and train high-quality medical care professionals.” The college provides the career development program, a long-term effort that encompasses diverse disciplines ranging from faculty membership and training after graduation to the Graduate School of Medicine. Along with the opening of the Faculty of Nursing, we strive to grow team medical care by implementing “medical-nursing fusion education” through which students from the faculties of Medicine and Nursing take courses jointly. In April 2014 we plat to open the Master's and Doctor's Program of the graduate school of Nursing. We believe that our responsibility at Osaka Medical College is to develop human resources that can support medicine and medical care suitable for the twenty-fi rst century. In order to fulfi ll this responsibility, it is our dream to create an environment of medical care that is rich in advanced skills, guided by high ethics and blessed with a strong sense of mission. We strive each day to harmonize all the important elements of education, research and clinical practice, including nursing. At the same time, we do hope the city of Takatsuki will be able to serve as a kind of “Mayo Clinic” of Japan.

本学は1927年（昭和2年）に、わが国最初の5年制医学専門学

校として創設されました。

大阪・京都の中間に位置する阪急高槻市駅前に位置し、また最

先端医療を学ぶに欠かせない膨大な臨床例を有する非常に利便性

の高い「都市型大学」です。創設以来、教育理念である「良医

の育成」をモットーに、単に医師国家資格を取得するためだけの

医学部ではなく、高い臨床力と良識ある人間性豊かな「治せる

医師」の育成に専心しています。

カリキュラムにおいては真に病を治せる良医を育成するという視

点から、自学自習・問題基盤型の学習システム「PBLチュート

リアルコース」を国内でいち早く導入し、また建学の精神である

「グローバル社会で活躍できる良医の育成」に基づき、ハワイ大

学やロシア・アムール医科アカデミーなどと交換留学などの学生

交流などを積極的に行っています。

Osaka Medical College was established in 1927 as Japan's first five-year medical college. We are located in front of Hankyu Line's Takatsuki-shi station, which is situated between Osaka and Kyoto. We are the highly accessible “urban college”, and accordingly we provide a significant number of the clinical examples that are essential in studying today's most advanced medical care.Since its establishment, under the motto “Fostering Good Medical Doctors”, the College has offered courses for the purpose of obtaining the Medical Doctor's National License.Moreover, we have dedicated ourselves to producing “medical doctors who can heal.” In our curriculum we have introduced a self-learning and problem-based study system known as the “PBL Tutorial Course”, doing so earlier than any other college in Japan. Additionally, in accordance with our founding ethos, we actively participate in student/researcher exchange programs with the University of Hawaii and the Amur State Medical Academy of Russia.

「教育機構」は平成18年に学部教育の企画立案・評価を担当する

部署として設立されました。現在1名の専任教員が所属していま

す。「教育機構」は、医学教育を遂行する「教育センター」、学生

の福利厚生に携わる「学生生活支援センター」を支援するとともに、

文部科学省採択事業「大学改革のための優れた取組（GP）」に関係す

る事案の遂行、Skill教育の充実、教員のFD、各種の試験問題の企画

と作成、国家試験対策、進級・卒業判定のとりまとめなど医学教

育に関連するさまざまな事業に取り組んでいます。

Skill教育ではOSCEを全国的にも早い時期から医学教育に取り入

れ、OSCE実行委員会を中心として全臨床教室の教員がOSCEの

教育評価に携わるシステムを構築しています。4年生の共用試験

OSCEや6年生のAdvanced OSCEを実施するとともに教員を対象

としたFDなどにも注力しています。

現在、教育機構では平成21年度文部科学省採択事業（GP）『関西

大学・大阪医科大学・大阪薬科大学「医工薬連環科学」教育シス

テムの構築と社会還元～分子から社会までの人間理解～』を継続

しています。すでに三大学の学生は、TV会議システムを活用し自

大学で居ながらにして各大学の共通講義を受講することができ単位

も取得しています。さらには、平成23年度から医看工薬共通の基

盤を育成するための共同講座「医工薬連環科学」を開講しました。

このほか、小中高校生の理科教育を推進する高槻家族講座や市民

公開講座などの社会貢献事業も遂行中です。また、6年生を対象と

した模擬試験の作成、集中講座（夏季･冬季）の運営などきめ細か

な医師国家試験対策を実施しています。

さらには、試験問題作成ワークショップによる臨床実習対応型の試

験問題作成など学生の総合的な能力の育成を目指しています。この

ような多様な取組みを行っていますが、個別学生の学習支援など日

常的な相談業務にも対応していますので学生の皆さんの訪問をいつ

でも歓迎しています。

「教育機構」は、ともすれば縦断型となりがちな医学教育を講座・

診療科を越えた横断的・効率的に機能するよう組織された機関です。

機構の最も重要な使命は、学生に医師としての知識・技能・態度を

能動的に学び、Professionalismへの目覚めを促すことにあります。

教育を動かす原動力は教員でありますが、何より学生自身が日常的

により良い医師を目指せる学習環境を整備したいと考えています。

Admission Policy （Students We Desire）We welcome students who understand the objectives and mission of the College in accordance with our founding ethos. Such students are those who do not hesitate to work hard to become physicians with global perspectives and genuine humanity through the completion of a six-year curriculum, and are able to contribute to society and take action based on their own values and ideas.

Curriculum Policy （Education Policy）In accordance with our founding ethos, we will provide the following education to nurture talent through practical education, research and quality medical care from a global perspective, for the welfare and culture development of mankind.

● By conducting a consistent six-year education, we will provide education based on the model core curriculum for medical education.

● In order to foster students’ ability to solve problems by themselves, we will implement the Problem Based Learning (PBL) system with classes based on small number of students.

● Through the Nakayama International Center for Medical Cooperation, we will proactively encourage students to participate in overseas medical education programs.

● The Basic Medicine Learning (BML) period will be established in order to provide students with opportunities to participate in research activities.

● In order for students to acquire the appropriate attitude toward patients while learning the overall flow of medical practices through actual experience, we will provide practical clinical training by introducing medical care practicum at an early stage.

● Through the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Advanced OSCE, the students’ fundamental skills required for practical clinical training will be evaluated.

● Students will also be able to experience a broad range of local medical services in the medical institutions of our community.

Diploma Policy （Authorization of Graduation/Conferral of Degree）We will authorize graduation and confer a degree (medicine) to the student who has acquired broad knowledge and deepened his/her understanding of various areas of science, mainly medicine but also with respect to culture, society and nature; who has gained a strong sense of responsibility, patience and leadership; who has obtained sufficient fundamental capabilities to demonstrate his/her quality and skills as a physician in the future; and who has acquired the required credits.

The Organization of Medical Education was instituted in 2006 as a station for the drafting and evaluation of education plans for college departments. Currently, one instructor from the college participate as dedicated staff. The Organization of Medical Education provides support to the Education Center, which executes medical education and the Student Life Support Center, which takes care of students’ welfare. Additionally, the Organization of Medical Education is engaged in the following eff orts related to medical education: implementing various activities pertaining to the “Good Practices” (GP) for restructuring colleges and universities adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; enhancing skill education; FD for instructors; planning and creating various types of examination papers; implementing measures for national examinations; and compiling the results of assessment for the promotion and graduation of students.Regarding skill education, OSCE was introduced to medical education in the early stages ahead of other medical colleges and universities in Japan. The OSCE education assessment system is comprised of instructors from all the clinical classes under the leadership of the OSCE Executive Committee. In addition to FD for instructors, the common OSCE examination system and the advanced OSCE are implemented for fourth-year and sixth-year students, respectively.Currently, the Organization of Medical Education is conducting a project (GP) adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2009. It is an ongoing project called the “Kansai University, Osaka Medical College and Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences: Creating the Education System for “Medical, Pharmaceutical and Engineering Sciences” and Returning the Results of Education to Society; Understanding Humankind from the Molecular Level to the Social Level.” Students of the above college/universities make the most of the TV conference system, take common lectures among the college/universities in their own colleges/universities, and obtain credits accordingly. Furthermore, a joint lecture titled “Medical, Pharmaceutical and Engineering Sciences” was initiated during the 2011 academic year in order to establish a common foundation for medicine/ nursing/ engineering/ pharmacology. Furthermore, the organization is engaged in social contribution activities such as open lectures and the Takatsuki Family Lecture to promote science education for K-12 students. Furthermore, the organization undertakes thorough and detailed national examination measures such as the creation of trial examinations and provision of intensive courses (summer/winter) for sixth-year students. Additionally, the organization aims to develop students’ overall skills through a workshop for the creation of examination papers that focus on bedside teaching.Thus the organization is engaged in a wide range of activities. However, it always welcomes students and provides them with consultations on a daily basis, including individual study support.The Organization of Medical Education is structured in such a manner that it functions efficiently and collectively, including its various subgroups. Thus it encompasses all the lectures and departments in order to provide thorough medical education, which tends to become vertical rather than horizontal. The most important mission of the Organization of Medical Education is to encourage students to proactively learn and acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required in one’s career as a physician, thereby awakening their professionalism. Thus the educator remains the driving force in the process of education.However, most of all, we at the organization want to create a learning environment in which students will work proactively each day to become excellent doctors. We, together with the instructors and students, ask the college graduates and everyone involved to give us their further support and cooperation.

教育センターは平成15年に設置され、医学教育の実務とそれに伴う企画立案を使

命としています。医学教育の環境は大きく変化し、本学において平成15年より導

入された新カリキュラムは、もはやマイナーチェンジでは対応できない状態です。

また、国際認証を始めとした世界的な教育改革の大きなうねりが押し寄せています

が、それらの時間的一致は決して偶然ではありません。それに対して、適切かつ迅

速な対応が教育センターには求められています。医学は一般には人間を対象として

いるわけですから、その教育は基本的には世界共通であると考えられます。しかし、

その中で人種等による差異だけでなく文化や国民気質等を考慮した教育でなければ

なりません。またそれぞれの大学の建学の精神や教育理念に生かしたカリキュラム

が必須でしょう。このような観点から、グローバルスタンダードである医学教育の

コアな部分を中心として、本学に特徴的なカリキュラム作成を目指しています。

また、本学では平成22年に看護学部が設置され、看護教育と医学教育との有機的な

連携も求められています。臨床の現場において、医学・医療と看護の垣根はますます

低くなっており、学生時代において、その認識を十分に教育していきたいと考えます。

このように課題は山積していますが、本学の建学の精神や教育理念を実現するため

に、教育センターはさらに活発に活動して参ります。

The Education Center was established in 2003 with the mission of managing business affairs in medical education and planning the proposals derived from it. The medical education environment has now changed signifi cantly, and thus new curriculums introduced in 2003 can no longer respond to such changes based on minor revisions. Moreover, the wave of global educational reform, such as international certifi cation, is surging upon us. The temporal consistency of those trends is not a coincidence. Quick, appropriate response is demanded of the Education Center. It can be considered that because the subject of medical science is humankind, the education in such science must be common throughout the world. However, not only the diff erences between races but also cultures and national traits must be taken into consideration when providing medical education. Additionally, it is essential to refl ect the spirit of establishment and education policy of each college or university onto its own curriculum. From such a perspective, the Center aims to create curriculums that are unique to the College based on the global standards of medical education, which serve as the core.The College established the Faculty of Nursing in 2010, thereby requiring organic collaboration between nursing education and medical education. The fence between medical science/medical care and nursing is becoming increasingly lower in the clinical environment. We want to thoroughly educate students to become aware of this fact as they continue their studies at the College.Thus, abundant challenges await us. However, we of the Education Center will conduct our activities even more energetically in order to embody the education policy and the spirit in which the College was established.

Given the various work and business practice controlled by the Organization of Medical Education, the Student Life Support Center provides advice and support to students on anything in regard to student life except for issues directly connected with the curriculum. Particularly, the Student Life Support Center provides support in the following areas: extracurricular activities, selection of scholarship recipients, consultations on lifestyle and health maintenance, and dealing with harassment.There are two types of support that the Student Life Support Center provides: general support and individual support. With respect to individual support, the Center can begin providing support only when an individual student voluntarily seeks consultation, and will then move on to more suffi cient support. However, depending on the problem that the student is facing, it is often diffi cult for him/her to come to the Center for help. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a window in the Center through which students can feel welcome to visit for consultations. In order to achieve this goal, we have implemented a system whereby several teaching instructors serve as the “window” for students. For freshmen, who have just started campus life, one instructor is allocated for approximately eight to ten students. For senior students, who are completely familiar with the college system, two instructors are allocated for each grade. Needless to say, students are welcome to choose any instructor with the same gender, or one with whom they feel most comfortable, such as a female clinical psychologist stationed in the Health Consulting Section.Although some problems for which consultation is sought are extremely diffi cult to solve, you can at least obtain emotional support from us. You will feel much more relief after talking to us about your problems. Do not suff er alone. You may even fi nd clues for solving your problems. Please feel free to come visit us for consultations on any issues you may have.

いつでもどこでも誰に対してでも自立して看護が実践できる行動力のある看護職（看護師・保健師・助産師）を育成します。We develop nursing professionals (registered nurse, public health nurse and midwife nurse) who have the ability to take action and are able to practice nursing care independently for anyone, regardless of the time or place.

看護学部では、生命の尊厳と人権を尊重し、人間を深く理解して、

人々の健康問題の解決に向けて取り組むことができる人材を育成

します。

そのために実践重視の看護学教育を行っています。カリキュラム

では、さまざまな人々に対して看護が実践できる人材育成という

視点から、人間理解、社会理解、異文化理解を深める授業を展

開しています。学生は、それらの授業を通して柔軟な思考力、幅

広い視野、創造力と探求心、倫理観や対人関係形成能力、専門

的知識と技術を身につけていきます。また、医学部との連携に

よる「チーム医療推進のための医看融合教育」を行っています。

看護学部と医学部の学生が、同じ学習環境で、各々の学問を理

解し合い、医療人としての態度や連携・協働のあり方、医療サー

ビスの創造について学んでいきます。

At the Faculty of Nursing, we develop personnel who respect human dignity and rights, have deep understanding for people, and can strive to resolve people's health issues. We therefore provide hands-on nursing education. We also provide a curriculum that deepens our students' understanding of human nature, societies and various cultures with focus on developing nursing professionals who are able to provide practical nursing care to people of all ages and backgrounds. Through such classes our students acquire the habit of flexible thinking as well as a broad vision, imagination, a spirit of inquiry, ethics, the ability to form personal relationships, expertise and comprehensive skills. Additionally, we implement the “fusion of education in medicine and nursing for the promotion of team approach to health care” in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine. Through this system the students of the Faculties of Nursing and Medicine acquire a mutual understanding of each other's study subjects. They will also acquire the attitude required for health care professionals, the way the collaborations and cooperation should be undertaken between them, as well as the development of health care services under the same learning environment.

学生生活支援センターStudent Life Support Center

学生生活支援センターは、教育機構が管轄しているさまざまな事業・実務の中で、

カリキュラムと直接結びついた問題を除いた、学生生活全般についての助言と支援

を行う役割を担っています。具体的には、課外活動支援、奨学生選考、日常生活

や健康維持に関する相談、各種ハラスメントへの対応などを行います。支援には一

般的な支援と個人への支援がありますが、個人への支援は本人の相談があってはじ

めて支援が始まり、また、その後の十分な対応ができます。しかし、内容によって

は相談しにくい事項も多いので、学生が気軽に来談できる窓口が必要です。そのた

め本学では、来談窓口として学年担任制を導入しています。大学生活を始めて間

もない新入生に対しては教員1名が学生8～10名程度を担当し、学校生活に慣れ

た上級学年でも2名の担当教員が学年担任として配置されています。もちろん担任

以外でも、保健管理室の女性臨床心理士など、同性で話しやすい教員をみつけて

相談してもらうことも大歓迎です。相談問題によっては解決困難な場合もあります

が、少なくとも情緒的支援（emotional support）が得られ、一人で悩んでいるより

はずいぶんと気持ちが楽になり、問題解決への糸口が見つかるかもしれません。 是

非、気軽に相談に来てください。

看護学部看護学科は平成22年4月に開設されました。83年間

の長期に亘って4,000名余の看護師を養成してきた附属看護専

門学校は平成24年3月に閉校となりました。大阪医科大学での

看護教育は４年制の学士課程教育に１本化されました。

看護教育は常に社会や医療の変化の中で、社会的要請を受け

て時代と共に変遷してきました。本学も、その時代の中で、藤

本守元学長時代に４年制の大学構想が検討されました。そして、

紆余曲折の14年の歳月を経て、念願であった看護学部看護学科

の実現に至りました。もう少し古い歴史を紐解いてみますと、昭

和23年頃に、松本信一初代学長が甲種看護師（現在の正看護師）

と保健師の養成機関として4年制大学構想（保健学科看護学講

座）を鑑みていたという貴重な資料が残されています。戦後間も

ない当時の状況から恐らくGHQの影響だと推察されますが、松

本初代学長直筆である「生物学部構想の大学概略」の記述の中

にその事実をみることができます。

本学部が目指している学士課程教育の大きな柱は、「看護のア

イデンティテイ教育」と「医看融合教育」です。「看護のアイデ

ンティテイ教育」では、学問としての看護学を教授し、看護職

として求められる専門的知識・技術・態度を培うための教育を行

います。それは、看護の立場で考え、判断し、行動できる看護

実践能力を培う教育です。「医看融合教育」では、看護学部と医

学部の学生が同じ学習環境の中で、医療人マインドや、医療の

学際性や倫理性を支える医療者としての共通基盤をより深化させ

ていくための教育を行います。それは、チーム医療が推進できる

医療人としての複合的な能力を培う教育です。

看護学部は、本学の特徴を活かした質の高い看護学教育と、

研究及び社会貢献に向けた社会的責任を遂行するために努力を

続けています。

The Faculty of Nursing was inaugurated in April 2010. The diploma nursing school, which has fostered more than 4,000 nurses over the past 83 years, was closed in March 2012, whereby nursing education at Osaka Medical College was integrated as part of a four-year undergraduate program.Nursing education has always progressed with the times, being infl uenced by societal demand amid changes in society and medical care. Under such circumstances, the “four-year college” concept was extensively discussed in our college during the era of President Mamoru Fujimoto. After 14 years involving many twists and turns, we finally achieved the establishment of the Division of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, which was long our dearest wish. Going back even further in our history of nursing education, one can find a precious record of the fact that our fi rst president, Shin-ichi Matsumoto, had in or around 1948 examined the concept of a four-year college (Nursing Science Course, Division of Health Science) as a school of registered nurse) and public health nurse. One can see this fact in the “Outline of the College with the Concept of the Faculty of Biology” written by President Matsumoto. Based on the situation back then - not long after the war-I suspect that President Matsumoto had been infl uenced by the GHQ. The two main pillars to which the Faculty aspires are “education for identity in nursing” and the “fusion of education in medicine and nursing.” Through “education for identity in nursing” we teach nursing science as an academic subject and provide students with education so that they will acquire the expertise, skills and attitude required for nursing profession. This form of education encourages the practical nursing ability by which one can think, make decisions and act, all from the reasoned perspective of nursing. Through the “fusion of education in medicine and nursing” we provide students of the Faculties of Nursing and Medicine with education that facilitates the fi rm establishment of the common foundation that supports the medical-professional mind, inter-discipline and ethics as medical experts in a shared learning environment. It's the form of education that develops a student's comprehensive ability as a health care professional who can promote team approach to health care.We at the Faculty of Nursing strive to provide high-quality nursing education by making the most of the special features of our College. 看護実践研究センターは、看護学部内、大学内を始め地域の教育

研究機関や保健医療機関と連携し、看護実践等の課題に関する研

究の推進と研究成果を国内外に発信することを目的としています。

そのために、看護学部教員間の共同研究、医学部や大学病院との

共同研究、産官学との共同研究や知財について、調整・準備・活

動支援を行い、研究体制の充実を図り、市民に対して、看護実践

等の課題や新たな知見を発信したいと考えています。看護実践研

究センターでは、保健・医療・福祉など多方面から、長期的な視

点に立って看護実践等にかかわる研究が組織的に実践できるよう

に支援することを目指していきます。

看護学部教育センターは、看護学教育の推進に必要な実務を担当

しています。

時間割の調整や、成績判定等に関する資料の取りまとめ、全教員

が担当する総合実習や卒業演習の企画と調整を行っています。

また、個々の教員の教育力の向上と学部全体の教育の充実のため

に、授業評価の実施や結果の公開、ファカルティデベロップメン

トに関する事項についての企画と実施を行っています。

今後、教員と学生の双方からの評価や意見に基づき、修正を加え、

教育環境を充実させていきたいと考えています。

看護学部学生生活支援センターでは、学生一人ひとりがいきいき

と健康で充実した学生生活を送ることができるために、学生生活

全般についての相談に応じるとともに、チューター制（一学年学

生５～６人に対して教員２名が支援・相談の窓口にあたる）を導

入しています。経済的に安心して学業に取り組むことができるた

めの奨学金の相談、保健管理室と連携しながら行う健康管理、学

生の要望に応えるための学生意見箱の運営なども本センターの役

割です。

The Nursing Practice and Research Center, Faculty of Nursing, has been established with the goal of promoting research on issues of nursing practice, as well as to domestically and internationally publicize its research results through collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing, the College, local institutions of education and research, and healthcare organizations. Therefore, to achieve these goals, we are implementing a plan to improve our research system by coordinating, preparing and supporting the joint research conducted, and the intellectual properties shared, among the instructors at the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Medicine and the College Hospital, as well as industries, government and educational institutions. Through these eff orts we hope to increase the public awareness of issues regarding nursing practice and disseminate new discoveries to the public.We of the Nursing Practice and Research Center will dedicate our support efforts to these people and organizations, so that they can systematically conduct research into nursing practice in its various aspects, including health care, medical care and welfare, all from a long-term perspective.

The Education Center, Faculty of Nursing, is in charge of all the clerical work required for the promotion of nursing education.We at the Center coordinate class schedules, prepare reference data for evaluations of students’ achievements, and plan and coordinate the comprehensive practicum and the graduation seminar, in both of which all instructors become involved.Moreover, in order to improve the educational ability of each instructor and enrich the education provided by our entire faculty, we implement evaluations of the classes, release the results of such evaluations, and devise and implement the faculty development plan. We will continue to improve the education environment by revising the Class Evaluation Form and principles in accordance with the feedback and opinions obtained from instructors and students.

The Student Life Support Center, Faculty of Nursing, provides counseling concerning the lifestyle of students in general so that each student is able to have an active, healthy and fulfi lling student life. Along with this a tutor system is introduced, that is, for every 5 or 6 students, 2 tutors would be provided for support and counseling. The duties of this center include consultation regarding academic scholarships so that any student who faces a financial hardship can be fully engaged in study with peace of mind and proper health supervision provided in collaboration with the Health Consulting Section. We also encourage the use of the student suggestion box as a means to promote constructive contact with the faculty.

研究機構は、昭和35年大学院設置に伴い導入された高度先端機器を維

持・管理するために置かれた「中央研究室」を前身としています。平成

16年4月に大学及び大学院に設置されていた複数の研究施設を統合し

て、時代に適合した高度で先進的な研究を行うための拠点としての「研

究機構」となりました。さらに平成23年には大学院における研究の中

核施設となるべく、実験動物センター、研究機器センター、研究推進セ

ンターの3センターからなる大学院の組織として改組されました。

当センター内では、清潔・快適な環境のもと種々の動物が専属の職員

の手により、日夜飼育・管理されており、本学における研究・教育に大

きく貢献しています。実験内容に応じてSPF室等の設備も用意してい

ます。また、倫理的・科学的に適切な動物実験を実施するために、実

験指針の整備や動物の取り扱い等に関する教育・指導を行っています。

In the Laboratory Animal Center, highly trained staffs supervise a variety of animals within the comfortable and clean environment, greatly contributing to the research and education in this college. Special facilities such as SPF rooms are provided to meet the needs of researchers. In order to carry out ethically and scientifi cally appropriate animal experiments in this college, we develop and update the guidelines for animal experiments and give lectures to the researchers about the method of treating animals and conducting animal experiments.

研究機器センターは質量分析装置、遺伝子解析装置、タンパク質精製

装置、分光分析器、種々の画像解析装置、自動細胞分取装置などの先

端的な機器や設備が設置・運営されており、24時間使用可能な体制と

相まって本学における最先端の研究を支えています。

The Research Facility Center is equipped with facilities such as mass spectrometer, gene analyzer, preparative protein purification systems, spectrophotometer, image analyzer, automatic cell sorters, etc. These facilities, open 24-hours a day, contribute greatly to the advanced research activities in this college.

研究推進センターでは学内および学外との共同研究を支援するととも

に、学内の優れた研究の発掘、萌芽的な研究の育成、補助金の獲得を

目指しての様々な活動が行われています。

The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) was originally established in 1960, along with the Graduate School, for the purpose of maintaining and operating the research facilities in the Graduate School. CRL has merged with several research centers in 2004 to provide the infrastructure for innovative and advanced research in this college. In 2011, CRL became the research core of the Graduate School comprised of Experimental Animal Center, Research Facility Center, and Research Promotion Center.

The Research Promotion Center aims to support and promote excellent research, seed and incubate original research, as well as search for and obtain grant funds suitable for them. It also encourages collaborative works both inside and outside the college.

教育・研究に大きく貢献する各種センターVarious centers are making a big contribution to education and research.

当センターは本学に導入された「分散型人工知能システム」の有

効利用を行うことを目的に1991年に設立されました。以後、全

国に先駆けて学内LANの整備（1992年）、インターネット常時

接続（1993年）を行い、さらに教職員の研究等を支援する高速

ワークステーションやソフトウエアを積極的に導入してきまし

た。2000年にファイアウォールの導入、2002年と2009年に

は学内LANの高速化を行い、ウイルス対策の強化・セキュリティ

向上を継続的に推進しており、研究関連の各種ソフトウエアの

講習会も開催しています。

The Center was founded in 1991 for the purpose of eff ectively implementing the distributed artificial intelligence system adopted by the college. Since then, we have actively constructed a campus LAN system (1992) and Internet connection (1993) - ahead of other universities across Japan, and also introduced high-speed workstations and software to further our faculty's

research efforts. Additionally, we installed a firewall in 2000, and completed reconstructions of the campus LAN in 2002 and 2009. We have also made continuous improvements in our antivirus countermeasures and security systems. The Center offers workshops on the use of various software programs related to research.

保健管理室は大阪医科大学の教職員、学生の健康保持増進の

ため、健康診断、感染症対策などの健康管理や健康教育に関

する専門業務を行っています。保健師と臨床心理士が常勤して

おり、身体的・精神的不調に随時対応し、状況に応じて産業

医や学校医、あるいは医療機関への紹介も行っています。疾患

の早期発見だけでなく、生活習慣病や感染症の予防対策を重

視し、教職員や学生が健康に就労･修学できるよう心身両面か

らのケア･サポートに努めています。

The Health Consulting Section is engaged in specialized work regarding health management and educat ion , inc luding medical examinat ion and the implementation o f measures aga ins t infect ious disease on behalf of students, instructors and staff members of Osaka Medical College. These eff orts are part of an overall program designed to enhance and maintain health. Hygienists and clinical psychologists hold full-time positions at the Health Consulting Section, where they provide ongoing care for those who have physical and/or mental issues. According to the situation, industrial physicians, school doctors and medical institutes are introduced to those who need such services. We at the Health Consulting Section give priority to the drafting and implementation of measures to prevent lifestyle diseases and infectious diseases, as well as the early detection of disease. Accordingly, we strive to provide both physical and mental care and support to the students, instructors and staff members, allowing them to study and work with freedom from critical health issues.

保健管理室Health Consulting Section

大学安全対策室は、大学の安全対策に適応しうる体制の確保及び

推進を行うために大学安全対策委員会の事務所管部署として設

置されました。学内外の安全に関する情報の収集・分析や改善策

の検討・調査等を行い、関係部署との連携を図りながら、本学関

係者の安全確保に努めています。さらに、教育講演や研修会等を

開催し、安全に対する意識向上を目的とした啓発を行っています。

The Safety Planning Section was established as an administrative department for the Safety Planning Committee in order to establish and promote a system that would accommodate the safety measures of the College. The Section strives to ensure the safety of all parties involved in the College through the collection and analysis of safety status information from around the campus, as well as the evaluation and investigation of remedial measures, in conjunction with the related departments. Additionally, the Section hosts lectures and seminars for the purpose of enhancing people's awareness of safety.

大学安全対策室Safety Planning Section

大阪医科大学は、地域住民の皆様の一層の健康寿

命の生成・促進を目的として平成21年に健康科学

クリニックを開設いたしました。そこでは個々の

ニーズにあわせた種々の健診（ドック）により未

病の中から異常を発見すると共に、全人的で総合

的な専門外来を展開いたします。本クリニックは、

大学と同様に教育と研究の施設としての役割を担

いながら、本学附属病院及び近隣医療機関との密

接なネットワークで患者さまを支えてまいります。

平成23年5月28日、健康科学クリニックは、人間ドック健診施設として日本人間ドック学会により認定されました。

Osaka Medical College has opened the Health Science Clinic in 2009 in order to facilitate and promote the improved healthy life expectancy of people in our community. We at the Clinic work to detect abnormalities in patient non-disease status through various types of medical examinations (multiphase health screening) based on the individual's personal needs. Additionally, we provide humane and comprehensive specialized medical services for outpatients. We support our patients through close collaboration with the College Hospital and neighboring medical institutions, while at the same time serving as an education and research facility in association with the College.

シーとしている「国際的視野に立つ教育・研究」を促進する事を

活動目的としています。学生時代に国際交流を通じて培った知識

や経験は、医師になった際や大学院に進んだ際に大変貴重なもの

となり、広い視野からの学習や医学貢献を可能にするという観点

から、学生交流には特に力を入れています。現在、ロシアのアムー

ル医科アカデミー、中国の日中友好病院や中国医科大学、台湾の

台北医学大学や秀傳紀念醫院、米国のハワイ大学、タイのマヒド

ン大学、韓国カソリック大学等との間で交流協定を結び、活発な

相互交流を展開しています。平成22年に新設された看護学部にお

いても、台北医学大学看護学部からの研修受入れが実現しており、

今後の拡大が期待されています。

短期留学プログラムや臨床実習への派遣・受入れとして、海外の

交流締結校との間での相互交流学生は年間のべ50人を超えます

が、締結校以外の教育機関との柔軟な交流も随時行っています。

近年ではシンガポール国立大学、オーストラリア国立大学、マッ

クマスター大学、リバプール大学から学生が研修プログラムに参

加しました。

海外医学部関係者の見学や訪問も多く、ソウル国立大学医学部、

ハーバード大学公衆衛生大学院からは研修医や学生が、グラスゴー

大学、ブリティッシュコロンビア大学、マヒドン大学、ハワイ大

学からは教員・研究者が本学を訪れました。又、本センターでは

研究者の海外留学や受入れをサポートする目的で、留学支援制度

を設けています。これまで多くの若手研究者がこの制度による渡

航費用の一部支援を受けて留学しました。

海外の医学教育システムや医学部の学生生活を知る目的で、平成

15年以降毎年国際交流シンポジウムを開催するなど、多岐にわ

たった交流活動を行っています。

海外の大学、研究機関、病院との学術交流、技術交流の他、国際

協力機構（JICA）との協力活動においても、テクノロジーを駆使し

た国際交流を推進しています。アムール医科アカデミーと日中友好

病院、フランスIRCAD、そして本学の手術室と当センターを回線で

結んで手術室での手術実技を映像で視聴しながらテレビカンファレ

ンスをしています。また、新たに高速光回線による最新テレビ会議

システムがセンター内に導入されたのをきっかけにJICA海外事務所

との打ち合わせで使用しています。さらに、英語のプロモーション

ビデオの作成や英語のHPの開設を通じて、センターの活動内容を

世界に向けて発信することにも力を入れています。

The Nakayama International Center for Medical Cooperation, or the NICMC, was established in January 1998. Our aim is to offer our students opportunities for international exchange programs to nurture their international perspective in medicine, which corresponds with one of the curriculum policies at Osaka Medical College (OMC). We put emphasis on exchange programs for undergraduates based on the belief that experiencing foreign medical culture will benefi t them greatly in the future.

We have established ties with many partner institutions including the Amur State Medical Academy in Russia, the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, China Medical University in Shenyang, Taipei Medical University and Show Chwan Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, University of Hawaii, Mahidol University (Siriraj Hospital) in Thailand and the Catholic University of Korea. The newly founded (in 2010) Faculty of Nursing has welcomed their fi rst exchange students from Taipei Medical University, and is planning to expand their international programs.

While over fi fty students participate in one or more exchange programs with these affiliated institutions every year, we maintain a flexible attitude to accept overseas students. In the past, students from National University of Singapore, the Australian National University, McMaster University (Canada), and Liverpool University (Britain) have taken part in a short-term training program at OMC. We have also had many foreign visitors - students from Seoul National University and Harvard University, faculty members and researchers from Glasgow University, British Colombia University, Mahidol University, and Hawaii University enjoyed our campus and hospital tour. NICMC offers a scholarship program and many young researchers have received this financial aid to partially cover the cost of their overseas study.

An international symposium has been held every year since 2003 to offer an opportunity to learn about educational systems and campus life in other countries.

To enhance surgical skill improvement among instructors, OMC have actively been making use of IT. Some years back, doctors at IRCAD in France, and China-Japan Friendship Hospital observed a surgery at OMC hospital live, and had a TV conference. Now with the latest TV conference system, more possibilities have opened up in terms of communication with institutions abroad. Holding meetings with JICA India is just an example. Gradually and steadily we have been expanding our activities in the last fifteen years, and now we are trying to promote ourselves worldwide through the newly created the NICMC English homepage and promotion video, wishing to facilitate international activities at OMC even further.

内装から設備、照明にいたるまで細かく配慮した設計の館内には、

ニューメディア情報室・生涯学習コーナー・グループ学習室・

研究個室などを設置。 繁雑な図書館業務をすべてコンピュー

タ化し、学内ＬＡＮを経由して学内関係者をはじめ学外の医療

関係者にも医学、医療、看護情報を提供しています。またホー

ムページを開設し、図書館からMEDLINE、医中誌webやEBM

Reviewsのデータベース及び電子ジャーナル等の各種の情報を発

信しています。館内はバリアフリー化が図られ、開館時間中はビ

デオモニターによるセキュリティ管理が行われており、安全で快

適な環境を実現しています。

The library holds a new-media information room, as well as a life studies room, a group study room and a private research room. The interior, facilities and even the lighting are all carefully designed to provide a very comfortable environment. The library is fully computerized, and as a result medical and nursing information can be accessed via the campus LAN. The information can also be accessed off campus. Additionally, our Internet homepage provides access to the MEDLINE, Ichushi-Web EBM Reviews and Electric Journal. The library contains a barrier-free security system in which video monitoring is conducted, thus providing a safe, comfortable environment for the benefi t of all users.

大阪医科大学歴史資料館は、本学キャンパス内の国の登録有形文

化財『別館』内に設置されています。 資料館はこの『別館』を維持・

保存するとともに、学校法人大阪医科大学の前身である財団法人

大阪高等医学専門学校の設立理念の根底にあるものを顕彰し、医

学・医療の在り方や法人の設置する教育施設の使命を時宜に応じ

て検討する場を提供することを使命として平成18年6月1日に設

立されました。 歴史資料館では、各種展示や資料の収集・整理を

行います。 私たちの理念にある「国際的視野」に立てばいかなる

地域にも密着することが必要であると認識し、当館では文化財を

公開する教育施設として、この地域に定着すべくより多くの方々

にご利用いただけるように運営しています。

The Osaka Medical College Museum is situated within a building called “Bekkan” (meaning annex), registered as a national tangible cultural property located on the main campus. The museum was established on June 1, 2006, to achieve the following missions: to maintain and preserve Bekkan; to honor the founding ethos of Osaka Higher School of Medicine, the forerunner of Osaka Medical College; and to provide opportunities to discuss the ideals of medicine and medical care, as well as our educational mission. The College Museum holds various exhibitions and houses a collection of reference data. To realize our slogan, “Hold an international perspective”, we begin by contributing to our local community. With this principle, we run the Museum as an educational facility with a cultural property, and we hope that it will be fi rmly rooted in our local community and give as many people as possible access to the cultural property.

LDセンターは平成13年4月に設立され、LD、AD/HD（注意欠陥

多動性障害）を中心とした発達障害児の発達検査、視知覚機能検

査などを行い、それに基づいた言語コミュニケーション指導や視

機能発達訓練、医師による診断・療育相談を行っています。 学

童期になって「読み書き」に障害をもつ子どもは、ひらがな習得が

遅れたり、言葉の意味理解が困難であったり、言葉の記憶が困難

であったりすることが多く、学習に困難を来すことが分かってき

ましたが、幼児期には言葉が遅れている、友達とうまく遊べないだ

けのこともあります。 この子どもたちに幼児期から小学生にか

けて適切に指導することにより学校に適応させることを目的とし

て、本学小児科と連携して運営されています。 また、ダウン症児

の療育プログラム「タンポポ教室」では乳児期から幼児期・学童

期に至るまで体操プログラム／リトミック／言語指導／学習指導

を行っています。さらに、教育関係者や保護者を対象に、発達障

害やダウン症に関する学習会、講演会、WISC解釈やIEP作成など

の講習会を年間20回以上実施し、啓発活動も行っています。 個

別指導室２室、グループ指導室２室、プレイルーム１室の他、会議

室、待合室などが備わったLDセンターは病院とは異なる建物です

が、子どもたちが描いた

The LD Center was established in April 2001. The Center conducts visual functional and perceptual tests and cognitive tests for children with developmental disorders such as LD (Learning Disorder) and AD/HD (Attention-Defi cit/ Hyperactive Disorder). Based on the test results, the Center provides visual-function training by optometrists, language and communication therapy by speech therapists, and also diagnosis and medical counseling by pediatricians.Recently, it has been found that children who have reading and writing disabilities tend to take more time in learning hiragana letters or have difficulty in memorizing words, thus hindering their learning process. In preschool ages, children with reading and writing disabilities might simply have delay to learn the language and have difficulty to interact with their friends. The Center is operated in collaboration with the College's Department of Pediatrics for the purpose of helping these children adapt smoothly to school life. This is done by providing appropriate therapy from infancy through the elementary years. Furthermore, our “Tampopo Class” - created with an emphasis on care for children with Down's syndrome - off ers an exercise program, eurhythmics, language/learning training for those children from infancy through preschool and the school ages. Additionally, the Center holds more than twenty lectures on various topics for parents and others involved in the field of education. These include workshops and lectures pertaining to development disorders, Down's syndrome, and their WISC interpretation and IEP creation. The Center, which is situated

separate from the hospital, contains two individual training rooms, two group-training rooms, a playroom, a meeting room and a lobby. One can readily see the abundant talents of the children through their magnificent paintings, which are displayed on the Center's external walls and corridors.

昭和5年に竣工した学舎群は、ウィリアム・メレル・ヴォーリズ（1880-1964

年、米国カンザス州生、1941年帰化）の設計です。現在、創立当時の建物は『別

館』を残すのみとなりました。この『別館』がイスラム様式のアーチやアラベス

ク装飾などを用いた個性的な意匠と地域の歴史的建築であることが評価され、平

成15年7月１日に高槻市内では初めて国の有形文化財に登録されました。

The college buildings were designed by William Merrell Vories(1880-1964), who was born in Kansas, the USA, and became a naturalized citizen of Japan in 1941. Today, the Bekkan is the only building that remains as it was, among those buildings. The Japanese government registered this old building as the fi rst national tangible cultural property in Takatsuki City, on July 1st, 2003, appreciating its distinct design, which employs Islamic arches and arabesque decoration, and its historic value in this region.

昭和5年に本学の前身である大阪高等医学専門学校の附属病院

として開設。以来、診療科29科、許可ベッド数915床を有する

総合病院として、また高槻市の市民病院的な存在として現在に

至っています。高度な先進医療を提供し、平成6年には特定機能

病院の指定を受け、更に地域がん診療連携拠点病院、肝疾患診

療連携拠点病院、地域周産期母子医療センター、災害拠点病院

に指定されており、また、平成22年７月に病院機能評価の認定

更新を受けました。学生はこの附属病院において臨床実習を行い、

また卒業生の多くが卒後臨床研修を受けています。

College Hospital was established in 1930, as part of the Osaka Higher School of Medicine, the forerunner of today's Osaka Medical College. Serving as a general hospital for the city of Takatsuki, College Hospital currently has 29 clinical departments and 915 beds. For its advanced medical treatment, the hospital was designated as an advanced treatment hospital in 1994, further designated as a base hospital for the community's collaborative examination and treatment of cancer, a base hospital for the community's collaborative examination and treatment for hepatic disorder, a Perinatal Medical Center for Mothers and Children and a local medical aid center in a time of disaster. The Hospital has received the hospital functional evaluation in July 2010. Students at the College Hospital receive bedside training, and continue their training and research at the Hospital even after graduation.

大阪医科大学附属病院は、日本医療機能評価機構の

認定病院です。

大阪医科大学附属病院は、大阪高等医学専門学校（1927年4月1日

開校）の附属病院（三島病院として120床）として1930年に開院さ

れ、83年という長い歴史を有しています。現在では、915床の病院と

して29の診療科と14の中央診療部門を配し、特定機能病院（1994年）、

災害拠点病院（1997年）、地域周産期母子医療センター（2007年）、

大阪府肝疾患診療連携拠点病院（2008年）、地域がん診療連携拠点病

院（2009年）、病院機能評価（2010年、Version 6）などの認定・指

定を受け、北摂における地域医療の要を担っています。高槻市の中心域

に位置して主要駅にも隣接し、きわめて利便性の高い施設です。

大学附属病院の役割は、診療・教育・研究の3本柱に加え、地域・

社会貢献であると認識しています。診療においては、患者さまの意見を

尊重し、安全で優しい心の通った医療、低侵襲且つ最新・最善の質の高

い医療を提供することを心がけています。さらに、周辺の医療機関と緊

密な病々連携・病診連携を構築し、北摂地域のよりよい医療を目指して

いますし、これをより一層展開させるために、2012年9月に広域医療

連携センターを立ち上げました。そして、2013年6月には、質の高い

全人的ながん医療を継続的に提供することを目的に、がんセンターを開

設しました。

教育においては、医学部・看護学部学生の臨床実習の場、初期臨床

研修の場、専門医取得や生涯教育の場を提供し、豊富な実績のある教育

機関として機能しています。そのために、医師卒後臨床研修室、医療プ

ロフェッショナル支援室、医療技能シミュレーション室と、これらを統

括する医療総合研修センターという特色ある組織を構築し、病院の理念

である、次代を担う良識ある人間性豊かな医療人の育成に力を注いでい

ます。また、臨床研究センターを設置して臨床試験の推進にも力を入れ

ていますし、厚生労働省の認可の下に幾つかの高度医療を、全国の中心

的役割を担う施設として進めています。今後は、患者さまの入院環境の

整備・改善のために、新病棟の建築などを早期に実現すべく準備を進め

て参りたいと思います。

本学職員一同は、患者さまとご家族に安心と安らぎを与えられる病院

を目指して努力を惜しみません。

Osaka Medical College Hospital opened in 1930 as an affi liated hospital (Mishima Hospital, with 120 beds) of Osaka Higher School of Medicine (founded on April 1, 1927), and as such it has enjoyed an eventful 83-year history. Today the hospital has 915 beds, 29 clinical departments, and 14 central medical treatment departments. The hospital has been designated as an advanced treatment hospital (1994), a disaster base hospital (1997), the Perinatal Medical Center for Mothers and Children in Osaka (2007), a base hospital for the community’s collaborative examination and treatment for hepatic disorder (2008), and a base hospital for the community’s collaborative examination and treatment of cancer (2009). It has also been certifi ed through a hospital functionality evaluation (Version 6, 2010). Thus it serves as the core of community healthcare in Hokusetsu. The hospital is highly convenient, being located in the central district of Takatsuki and in the vicinity of major train stations.I realize that one of the roles of Osaka Medical College Hospital is to contribute to society and the community in addition to the three great major roles (pillars) of medical practice, education and research. When conducting medical practice, we respect our patients’ opinions and strive to provide minimally invasive, safe, gentle and humane medical care, as with the highest quality and latest technology. Moreover, we strive to provide better medical care for the Hokusetsu district by building close, collaborative relationships with nearby medical institutions (hospital and hospital cooperation, hospital and clinic cooperation). In order to expand those collaborative relationships, we established the Broad-based Network Medical Center in September 2012. Subsequently, we opened the Cancer Center in June 2013, aiming to provide holistic, high-quality cancer care.We serve as an educational institution with numerous achievements, and provide students of the Faculties of Medicine and Nursing with opportunities for clinical practicum, initial clinical training, the acquisition of medical specialist licenses and lifelong education. In order to fulfill these tasks, we have created various organizations with unique features, including the Graduate Clinical Training Center, the Medical Career Support Center, the Medical Skills Simulation Center and the Medical Training Center, the last of which controls all the aforementioned organizations. Through these organizations we strive to develop medical-care personnel with commonsense and genuine humanity, so that they can be the leaders of the next generation.This is in accordance with the hospital's guiding principle. Moreover, we focus on the promotion of clinical studies, such as by establishing the Clinical Research Center and implement several advanced medical care programs approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a core medical facility that plays a central role in Japan. From this point forward we will propel the preparation for building a new ward toward its early realization and thereby improve the hospital environment for inpatients.All the staff members of the College Hospital will do their utmost to create a hospital that can provide peace of mind to patients and their families.

医療の急激な進展に伴い、各々高い専門性をもつ医療従事者が

性が強く認識されるようになっています。そのような中、病院

薬剤部では、医薬品情報・物流チーム、調剤・病棟チームの

体制で、多様化する病院薬剤師の業務に組織横断的に取り組ん

でいます。

医薬品の品質管理と有効性の評価、更なる安全性の確保は、

我々薬剤師に課せられた重要な役割です。安全で質の高い薬物

療法を提供するため、一人ひとりの薬剤師がより高い目標を持

ち、積極的に取り組んでいます。部内に留まることなく「お薬

のあるところに薬剤師あり」を実践し、患者さまはもちろん、

共に働くスタッフからのニーズに応じた薬剤師のあり方を念頭

に「成果の見える薬剤師」を目指して活動しています。

栄養管理はすべての疾患に対して、その治療を行う上で共通す

る重要かつ基本的医療の一つであります。栄養部では医療の中

の重要な要素の一つとしてその質を一層向上させなければなら

ないという使命のもとに、管理栄養士がベッドサイドを訪問し

患者さまと対面しながら病態に合わせた栄養管理を計画し実施

しています。また平成17年12月には院内でＮＳＴ（Nutrition

Support Team）を立ち上げ栄養士、医師、薬剤師、看護師等

が密に連携した患者さまの栄養管理システムがスタートしまし

た。食事サービスに関しては医食同源を基本理念に、患者さま

一人ひとりの病状に合わせた安心・安全な病院食を提供し、治

療効果を高めながら美味しく味わっていただき、一日でも早く

回復していただけるよう真心を込めたサービスを目指しています。

Nutrition management is an essential means of medical care common in the treatment of all diseases. Based on the mission to improve the quality of nutrition management as an important element of medical care, national registered dieticians visit

organizationally engaged in its rapidly diversifying pharmaceutical activities through a system comprised of the Drug Information/Logistics Team and the Dispensing/Ward Team. Quality control, efficacy evaluation and the assurance of pharmaceutical product safety are important duties imposed upon those who are involved in this profession. In order to provide safe, high-quality pharmaceutical products, each pharmacist will set his/her goals even higher and strive to achieve them. We strive to fulfill our motto, “Wherever drugs are present, pharmacists are present”, and work not only within the department but in a cross-organizational manner. Furthermore, always remembering that the ideal pharmacist is one who can accommodate the needs of patients and colleagues alike, we are engaged in activities to become “pharmacists who can foresee the results.”

当センターは、患者様の権利を尊重し倫理性を保った治験や臨

床試験支援が行えるよう活動しております。各分野のグローバ

ル化が急速に進んでいますが、新薬開発の分野も例外ではあり

ません。施設、地域、国の垣根を越えた開発臨床試験が進めら

れており、当センターもこの流れに対応しつつ、ドラッグラグ

の解消・さらなる効率的な臨床開発の体制整備を行っておりま

す。その取り組みの一つとして、臨床治験センターから平成25

年6月に臨床研究センターへと改称いたしました。各分野のプ

ロフェッショナルがそろう大阪医科大学附属病院の強みを十分

に活かし、より一層、早期開発臨床試験にも力を注ぎたいと考

えております。 ここ北摂“高槻”から世界に向けて、新薬や医療

機器の迅速な開発を支援して参ります。そして患者様へ、先生

方へより良い薬・治療法をより早く導入できますよう努力して

参ります。

現代は、高度に専門化された急性期医療から地域での在宅医

療まで、患者さまを主体とした医療機関同士の連携が不可欠

となっています。広域医療連携センターは、当院を希望され

る患者さまがスムーズに受診できるよう、また当院の診療を

終えた患者さまが無理なく他院へ移ることができるよう、垣

根のない医療連携を実現するために組織されました。そのた

め当センターは、「医療連携室」「患者支援室」「がん相談支

援室」の３つの部署で構成されています。

「医療連携室」では日ごろから当院と連携を深めている地域の

病院や開業医など、医療機関を通じて当院を受診する際の窓

口としての機能を主に担います。また、最寄りのかかりつけ

医へのご紹介などもいたします。

「患者支援室」は当院を受診された患者さまを対象に、特に入

院された患者さまの退院に向けた準備や他の医療機関や福祉

施設などへの転院のご相談や調整を担います。他にも、患者

さまやご家族が抱えている療養生活に伴うさまざまな不安や

心配ごとに親身になって対応し、社会制度や社会福祉などの

ご相談を受けています。

「がん相談支援室」はがん看護専門看護師と専従の医療ソー

シャルワーカーが在籍しています。患者さまの病気に関する

情報提供、医療福祉に関することなど、“がん”に関するすべ

てのご相談に専門のスタッフが対応します。

当センターのスタッフには、医師、看護師、医療ソーシャルワー

カー、事務員と多職種が在籍し、それぞれの特性を活かした役

割を担います。私たちは、当院の医療の専門性を充分に活かし

つつ、医療連携の立場から患者さまを中心とした質の高い医療

を継続して提供できるよう全力で取り組んでまいります。

大阪医科大学附属病院は、三島圏域のがん診療連携拠点病院と

して重要な役割を担っております。2013年6月、さらに質の高

い全人的ながん医療を継続的に提供することを目的にがんセン

ターを設立しました。「地域がん診療連携拠点病院として機能の

より一層の強化･拡充を図るため、臨床・研究・教育の充実を

図り、社会に開かれた安全で質の高いがん医療を目指す。」こと

が当センターの理念です。1.がん診療連携拠点病院としての機

能の向上、 2.病病・病診連携の拡充 、3.治験・臨床試験などが

ん臨床研究の推進、4.がん専門医療人の育成、5.積極的ながん

医療情報発信などをアクションプランに定め実践します。当院

は、日本でも数少ない臓器横断的、組織横断的な包括的がんセ

ンターとして活動し、がん診療の未来を切り拓きたいと考えて

います。

We at the Clinical Research Center are engaged in activities that support clinical trials conducted with respect for proper ethics and patient rights. Amid the rapid globalization of each field, the area of drug development is not an exception. New drugs are now being developed and tested beyond the boundaries of facilities, regions and countries. Accordingly, the Clinical Research Center is restructuring the clinical development system in order to achieve more effective development by eliminating drug lag. One of such eff orts is the renaming of the center from the Clinical Trial Center to the Clinical Research Center. Furthermore, we're focusing our efforts on early-development clinical trials by capitalizing on the strengths of the Osaka Medical College Hospital and its broad range of expert medical professionals. From Takatsuki, in the Hokusetsu District, toward the world, we will continue to support the effi cient development of new drugs and medical equipment. We strive to introduce better drugs and therapies as early as possible to physicians and their patients so that they can benefi t from them.

In this modern age it is essential to build a collaborative relationship among medical institutions encompassing areas ranging from highly advanced acute medical care to home medical care, always with a primary focus on the patient. The Broad-Based Network Medical Center is organized to achieve seamless medical cooperation in order for patients who want to receive medical care from our hospital to be able to conveniently receive consultations, and to allow those who have received our service to switch to other medical institutions eff ortlessly. The Center therefore consists of the following three sections: the Regional Medical Service Section; the Patient Support Section; and the Cancer Patient Support and Consultation Section.The Regional Medical Service Section functions mainly as a reception counter upon the medical consultation of a patient who has been given a referral from a local medical institution such as a hospital or clinic having a daily collaborative relationship with our hospital. The Section also refers patients to family doctors located close to their places of residence.The Patient Support Section is responsible for consultations and coordination, particularly for inpatients, regarding discharge from the hospital and switching to other medical institutions and welfare facilities. Additionally, the Section provides intimate care to patients and their families in terms of anxiety and concerns deriving from life under medical treatment, as well as consultations pertaining to the social system and welfare available to them. The Cancer Patient Support and Consultation Section is staff ed by nurses who specialize in the care of cancer patients as well as full-time medical social workers. These specialists provide each patient with all kinds of consultations pertaining to cancer, from the individual’s particular case to the availability of medical welfare. Each staff member of the Broad-based Network Medical Center --including doctors, nurses, medical social workers, offi ce clerks and those who are charged with various other duties-- plays an important role in making the most of each individual’s special quality. We strive to provide high-quality, patient-oriented care from the standpoint of cooperative medical care while making the most of our hospital’s facilities and expertise.

Osaka Medical College Hospital has an important role as a designated hospital for cancer care in Mishima area. On June 2013, Cancer center was established for the purpose to offer higher quality holistic medical care continuously. Our philosophy is to enhance clinical study and education aiming at safe and high-quality cancer care open to the society in order to strengthen and expand the function as a regional designated hospital for cancer care.

育までを支援する体制を確保することを目的として「大阪医

科大学 医療総合研修センター」が平成25年4月に設置され

ました。医療総合研修センターは、「臨床研修室（旧 卒後臨

床研修センター）」、「医療プロフェッショナル支援室（旧 キャ

リア形成支援センター）」、「医療技能シミュレーション室 （旧

メディカル・トレーニング・サポートセンター）」の3室から

組織されており、本学並びに関連医療機関に従事する医療人

の教育と研修の充実を図るため、各室長の先生方と協力して

総合的な研修環境の改革を行っています。主に、行政や医師

会、他大学や協賛企業といった関連団体と、医療総合研修セ

ンターの各室が積極的に連携して本院および連携医療機関に

The Osaka Medical College, Medical Training Center was established in April 2013 with the purpose of creating a support system for pre-graduate education, post-graduate education and lifelong professional education. The Medical Training Center comprises three offi ces: the Graduate Clinical Training Center, the Medical Career Support Center and the Medical Skills Simulation Center (formerly known as the Medical Training Support Center). In order to enhance education and training for medical professionals who work for the College and its affi liated medical institutions, we at the Medical Training Center are engaged in the comprehensive reformation of the training environment in collaboration with the director physicians of our respective offices. Each office of the Medical Training Center proactively collaborates with related organizations--including government agencies, medical associations, and other colleges/universities and supporting companies--to enhance the environment for the early-stage training in our hospital and collaborative medical institutions. Moreover, we provide support to those institutions in obtaining medical specialists. We are also creating a stronger system by re-

educating physicians and nurses who once left the profession but have recently returned to the workplace, thereby opening the door to medical sites within the local community so that the system can be used for the benefi t of all.

医療技能シミュレーション室（略称：MSSC）は、医学生の臨

床技能の修練、学内医療人のスキルアップ教育、地域医療人の

リカレント教育、復職支援教育や各種講習会活動を実施できる

環境を整備し、大学教育を活性化させると共に、地域社会に貢

献することを目的としています。

同室には高機能シミュレーター機器および各種教育器材を多数

取り揃え、本学学生、医師、看護師、コメディカル等の医療従

事者、地域医療人の方々がいつでも利用できる環境を整備して

います。平成21年10月の開設以来、各種のスキルアップセミナー

や技能ワークショップ、シミュレーション講習や研修会など幅

の広い教育活動を提供する場として、年間約3000名の利用実

績があります。今後もますます増加し続ける社会や医学・医療

教育のニーズに応え、より多くの方々が活用いただけるよう施

設や研修内容の充実を図っています。

The Medical Skills Simulation Center (MSSC) was established as an environment for the provision of clinical-skills training for medical students, skill-enhancement education for medical providers in the College, recurrent education for medical providers in the community, education for those who once left but have returned to medical workplaces, and lectures on various subjects. By doing so, we will revitalize college education and contribute to the local community. Based on high-performance simulators and a large number of educational equipment, the Center aff ords an environment in which such equipment can be used whenever needed, for the benefi t of the students, physicians, nurses of the College as well as medical-care providers such as co-medical and local medical offi ces. Since October 2009, the Center has been used by approximately 3,000 people annually as a facility that off ers wide-ranging educational activities such as skill-enhancement seminars and workshops, simulation lectures and training. In response to the ever-growing needs of society and medical/medical-care education, we continuously improve our facilities and training programs so that even more people can take advantage of the Center.

■ 医療技能シミュレーション室 Medical Skills Simulation Center

医療プロフェッショナル支援室は、本学および関連医療機関に

従事する医療人の養成を計画的に支援することを目的として、

平成25年４月にキャリア支援センターを引き継ぐ形で発足し

ました。同室では主に後期研修以降の生涯教育を担当していま

すが、学部教育から初期臨床研修医、後期研修（レジデント）、

専門医までのシームレスなキャリアを構築するための重要な役

割を担っています。

大阪医科大学の校是である「良医育成」と「地域社会との共生」

を実現し、人間性豊かなすぐれた医療人を育むため、関連施設

および団体との連携を図り一貫した教育システムが機能するよ

う教育病院群を構築しています。また、いったん医療現場を離

れた女性医師や看護師を中心とした医療人の復職支援リカレン

ト教育も積極的に行っています。

The Medical Career Support Center was inaugurated in April 2013 in order to take over the Career Support Center and thus provide systematic support for the development of medical-care providers who work for the College and its related medical institutions. Although we at the Center concentrate on lifelong education after the late-phase (resident) training, we also serve to build a seamless career process for faculty students in their transition to junior residents, residents and medical specialists. Accordingly, to develop outstanding medical providers with abundant humanity, and thereby fulfill the College’s principles of “fostering good medical doctors” and “working in harmony with the local community”, we have established a group of educational hospitals. Through this group, all the related facilities and organizations can collaborate with each other and ensure a consistently high-quality system of education. We also provide recurrent education for the purpose of supporting medical professionals (mainly female doctors and nurses) who once left their workplaces but have recently returned, so that they can more comfortably adjust to the new work environment.

■ 医療プロフェッショナル支援室 Medical Career Support Center

「医師が、医師としての人格をかん養し、将来専門とする分野に

かかわらず、医学および医療の果たすべき社会的役割を認識し

つつ、一般的な診療において頻繁に関わる負傷または疾病に適

切に対応できるよう、基本的な診療能力を身に付けることので

きるものでなければならない。」という医師法の基本理念のもと、

平成16年4月から､ 医師の臨床研修が必修化されました。

本院の臨床研修室では定められた基本理念、到達目標が達成で

きるよう、大学病院ならではの贅沢な施設・設備を利用して臨

床研修プログラムや研修支援体制を整備しています。最大の特

徴は必修・選択科目を問わず多くのコースを大胆に取り入れ、

個人のニーズに応じることのできるオーダーメイドな研修プロ

グラムが作成できる構成

Clinical training for physicians has become a compulsory subject since April 2004 in accordance with the basic principle of the Medical Law, which states: “Clinical training must be the kind of training that facilitates physicians to further develop the personality suitable for work as a physician, and to obtain basic clinical skills regardless of their future expertise in order for them to appropriately respond to the injuries and diseases they may frequently encounter in general medical examinations and treatments, doing so in recognition of the social role of medicine and medical care.” The Graduate Clinical Training Center has established clinical training programs and a training support system in order to attain our goals and fulfi ll its basic principles by making the most of abundant facilities, which can be offered only by a university hospital. The most remarkable feature of our system is a bold structure that off ers a wide variety of compulsory and elective courses. Through

this structure we can create a training program personalized to the needs of each student.Furthermore, we have established a unique training and education system by working in close collaboration with related medical institutions based on the so-called “roof tile” education system (in which the second-year students teach the fi rst-year students, the third-year students teach the second-year students, etc.) provided by highly experienced teaching physicians and many residents.

平成9年に発足した病院医療情報部では、UNIX系医事・オー

ダリングシステムの維持管理および、院内各部署への情報提供

や統計資料作成、ならびに病院情報システムの企画立案、各

部門システムの新規開発やシステム更改時の中心組織として活

動しています。また、診療情報に代表される個人情報や1000

台以上のクライアントコンピュータを、端末操作時の職種・立

場に応じたIDおよびパスワードによる権限設定や、Windows

　active directoryによる強制的操作制限、中央制御によるコ

ンピュータウイルス対策などを駆使して各種の脅威から保護し

ています。安全性と利便性の平衡をとりながら、さらなる病院

のIT化に向けて、文書管理システム、フィルムレスシステム、

画像レポート配信システムなどを立ち上げています。

平成22年度にはネットワークシステムの全面更改作業を行

い、基幹20Gbpsの高速で安定した通信網を大学・病院に提

供出来るようになりました。

平成23年度には、ほとんどの部門システムとオーダリングシ

ステムの全面更改を行い、平成26年1月からは電子カルテの

導入を行います。

診療情報管理室では診療情報の「量的な管理」とともに、がん登

録や疾病入力などの「質的な管理」にも取り組んでいます。具体

的には診療録の様式統一と平成25年1月からの診療録の電子化を

医療情報部と協力して行い、退院時要約等多くの文書を電子カル

テシステム上で作成できるシステムを構築しています。National

Clinical Databaseへの参画や、小児科の血液疾患、悪性腫瘍登録

への協力、診断書作成補助業務への取り組みなど、臨床業務への

支援を担っています。また、実際の診療記録については電子化に

伴い様式を大幅に変更する必要があり、副室長が中心となって全

診療科へ働きかけを行い、適正な診療記録作成に取り組んでいま

す。さらに、クリニカルパス標準化の

ためのガイドラインやモデルパスの作

成にも積極的に関わっています。これ

らの活動を通じて、電子カルテに移行

後も、誰が見てもわかりやすく良質な

診療記録が効率的に作成されるための

環境作りに、日々取り組んでいます。

病院は、最新の医療を提供するため、さまざまな感染症の脅威にさらさ

れる危険があります。近年、薬剤耐性菌の増加や新興感染症の発生な

どの感染症をどのように制御するかは重要な課題となっています。感

染対策室は、医師（インフェクションコントロールドクターICDを含

む）、看護師（インフェクションコントロールナースICNを含む）、薬剤

師、検査技師らの感染対策チーム（ICT）メンバーより構成され、ICTラ

ウンドや講習会、講演会の開催などの感染防止対策を展開しています。

院内の感染症サーベイランス、インフルエンザや結核対策、針刺し事故

対応などその活動の範囲は広範囲です。ICTラウンドでは感染制御の

みならず、感染症治療における薬物の

体内動態や患者さまの病状を考慮し

た上での抗生物質の選択や投与法の

提案なども行っています。感染対策

室の活動は病院長の指示のもとに、感

染対策委員会により支えられており、

当院の先端的な医療をサポートする役

割を果たしています。

本院は、複雑化、多様化する医療改革の流れの中で、高度で安

全な医療を地域に供給する理念を掲げた特定機能病院としての

役割を求められています。 そのような中、医療安全推進部では、

安心・安全な医療の提供ができる職場環境をつくるためのコー

ディネーターを目指し、日々活動しています。医療安全に関す

る情報収集と調査、分析、職員への教育､ 研修など、情報の提

供を行うと共に医療事故防止に対する具体的対策、立案等を行っ

ています。 各現場では、リスクマネージャーを中心に医療安全

への取り組みを行い安全確保に対して整備をしています。医療

事故を身近なものとして捉え、個人の問題としてではなく、組

織としてシステムの問題として捉えていく考えの基に他部門との

連携を図り、患者さまが主体的に参加できる安全な医療に努め

ていきたいと考えています。

The Department of Medical Information, established in 1997, maintains and manages a UNIX medical ordering system. Additionally, it provides other departments in the hospital with information, creates statistical materials for them and plans hospital information systems, including the new development of systems for the various divisions and subsequent changes in those systems. We protect the personal information, which is mainly comprised of medical records, and more than 1000 units of client computers against various threats by implementing the following measures: setting the password authorization system based on one's occupation and position at the time of operation; a mandatory control of operation, which is implemented through a Windows active directory; and the antivirus measures via centralized control. Maintaining a balance between security and convenience, we have started a document management system, a fi lmless system and a graphic report distribution system to promote the higher level of IT at the hospital. We conducted an overall reformation of the network system in 2010, and that effort has enabled us to provide the College and Hospital with steady communication via a high - speed 20Gbps backbone network. In 2011 we fully renewed the systems for most of the divisions, as well as the ordering system. We will also introduce an electronic medical recoding system from January, in 2014.

In the Medical Record & Information Management Offi ce we are engaged in “qualitative management” of medical examination and treatment information, such as cancer registrations and disease-related input, as well as “quantitative management.” Particularly, in cooperation with the Department of Medical Information we have unifi ed the forms for medical records and established a digitized medical record system by which many paper-based documents such as the summary for discharge can be created using the system for ordering (implemented in January 2013).We are also engaged in the task of supporting clinical work, such as through participation in the National Clinical Database, cooperation in the registration process of blood diseases and cancers in the Pediatric Department, and the provision of assistance in the creation of medical certificates. This is especially important with respect to actual medical records, because it is necessary to change forms drastically due to the digitization. Thus, under the leadership of the vice director of the Office we strive to create proper medical records by assisting all other

departments in the Hospital. Additionally, we are proactively involved in the creation of guidelines and model passes for the standardization of clinical passes. Through these activities we strive constantly to establish an environment in which we can effectively create high-quality medical records that are readily understood by all concerned, even after transitioning to the computerized medical record system.

Because the Hospital provides the most modern medical care, the work of our facility implies the risk of various infectious diseases. In recent years the question of how to control infectious disease--including an increase in drug-resistant bacteria and the outbreak of emerging infectious diseases--has become a critical issue. The Infection Control Center, which consists of members of the Infection Control Team (ICT), among whom are physicians (including infection control doctors (ICD)), nurses(certified nurse in infection contorol (ICN)), pharmacists and laboratory technicians, undertake measures to prevent infections through the ICT rounds, seminars and lectures. Their broad range of activities includes the surveillance of infectious diseases within the Hospital and the undertaking of preventative measures against infl uenza, tuberculosis and accidents such as those occurring with needle insertion. When making the ICT rounds they not only control infections but also select antibiotics for the treatment

of infectious diseases while providing instructions on their administration methods, taking into account the drugs' biokinetics and the patients’ respective conditions. Based on instructions issued by the Hospital Director, the Center's activities are bolstered by the Infection Control Committee. In this way, we ensure the fullest possible support for state-of-the-art medical care.

Amid the reform in medical systems, including the introduction of greater diversity and complexity, we are required to serve as an advanced treatment hospital under the ethos of providing the local community with safe, progressive medical care. Our Department of Medical Safety Promotion coordinates aff airs on a daily basis in order to create a work environment that enables our hospital to provide safe medical care and comfort for our patients. In addition to providing information--which includes the gathering, study and analysis of medical safety-related information and training staff --the Department takes concrete measures and conducts planning for the prevention of medical accidents. At each worksite we ensure medical safety under the directives of the risk manager. The Department of Medical Safety Promotion considers any medical accident a problem that involves the entire medical community. Therefore, it works with other departments and divisions to provide safe medical care in which each patient can participate independently, based on the perception that this is not a problem of the individual but instead a problem that concerns our system of organization.

中央診療部門 Central Clinical Division

中央診療施設のひとつとして2007年（平成19年） 1月にリスター

トしました。中央放射線部は、放射線診断・血管造影I V R 部門、

核医学部門、放射線治療部門の3部門からなります。中央放射

線部の構成員は部長（教室教授の併任）、副部長（中央放射線部・

科長の兼任）、放射線科医師（放射線科医長･医員の兼任）、技

師長をはじめとする診療放射線技師、看護師長をはじめとする

看護師、技術職員、事務職員などです。この体制に診療各科の

医師、看護師、補助職員が協力して放射線診療業務に従事して

います。さらに放射線科レジデント、研修医の卒後教育が加わり、

教育部門としても機能しています。放射線診断部門では、単純

エックス線撮影･造影検査・マンモグラフィー・CT・MRIなど

の画像検査や骨塩定量などを、核医学部門ではシンチグラフィ・

SPECT・動態検査などの核医学検査を行い、放射線科専門医に

よる読影レポートの各診療科への発信を行っています。放射線

治療部門では、放射線治療専門医をはじめとするスタッフが悪

性腫瘍を中心とする疾患に対して体外放射線治療、密封小線源

治療、定位放射線治療などを施行しています。放射線機器は加

速度的に進歩しており、当院では画像のデジタル化が達成され、

中央放射線部では320列マルチスライスCTや超高磁場MRIな

どの新しい機器の導入により高度な臨床研究を行い、情報の発

信に努めています。

中央検査部には、生理機能検査部門と検体検査部門（血液・

止血検査、化学・免疫血清・尿一般検査、細菌検査）および

中央採血室、検査情報室があり、24時間稼動しています。

臨床検査は、病気の診断や治療効果を判定するための情報、

さらに、院内感染対策の情報を提供するなどの重要な役割を

担っていますので、当検査部では、精密で正確な結果を迅速

中央手術部は、中央手術室、回復室、麻酔科術前診察室、麻酔科

術後診察室からなり、周術期管理の臨床、研修、教育を行ってい

ます。中央手術室は13室あり、平成24年には総手術件数8,343

件でした。全身麻酔や硬膜外麻酔・脊椎麻酔は麻酔科医が全

て管理しており、5,632件でした。麻酔は、原則として一症例

に一名以上の麻酔科標榜医以上が、手術終了時まで全身管理を

担当しており、麻酔科専門医、指導医が全体の統括をしていま

す。

さらに、看護師や臨床工学技士との連携の下に周術期の医療安

全の向上に努め、様々な急変時対応のトレーニングも行っていま

す。医学部学生、看護学生、研修医、レジデントの指導と共に、専

門化・高度化し増加し続ける手術症例に対処するため、効率的な

中央手術部の利用と安全性の両立をめざして運営しています。

The operating center is constituted of the unit for preoperative and postoperative evaluation, the operating room, and the recovery room, providing the services of clinic and training regarding perioperative management. Additionally, the department of anesthesiology is committed to providing medical students the most rewarding experience in this specialty.

The Department was reestablished in January 2007 as one of our central medical facilities. The Central Department of Radiology consists of the following three divisions: the Diagnostic Radiology/Angiography IVR Division, the Nuclear Medicine Division and the Radiation Oncology Division. The educational staff in the Central Department of Radiology includes a Director (who also serves as Professor of Radiology), a Deputy Director (who additionally serves as Director of the Radiology Division), radiologists (who also serves as the head physician/physician), medical care radiographers under the chief radiographer, nurses under the chief nurse, technicians and clerical staff. Under this system, physicians from other departments, nurses and assistant employees cooperate with all the aforementioned personnel involved in the Department, engaging in medical care of radiology. Furthermore, the Department functions as an educational center through which postgraduate education is provided for interns and resident physicians of the Department of Radiology. In the Diagnostic Radiology Division, various imaging studies including simple radiography, contrast studies, Mammography, CT and MRI are conducted as well as bone mineral assays. In the Nuclear Medicine Division, radioisotope examinations such as scintigraphy, SPECT and kinetic studies are conducted. Images obtained from these examinations are then read by radiology specialists, compiled as reports and sent to each relevant department. In the Radiation Oncology Division, extracorporeal Radiation Oncology, sealed brachytherapy and stereotactic Radiation Oncology are conducted by staff members under the leadership of a radiotherapy specialist mainly for malignant tumors. Evolution of radiological equipment is advancing with increasing speed. In our hospital, we have accomplished image digitization, and we at the Central Department of Radiology are engaged in providing information by introducing state-of-the-art medical equipment such as a 320-detector-row multislice CT scanner and a super-high magnetic fi eld MRI, thereby conducting advanced clinical research.

The Central Clinical Laboratory is comprised of the Physiological Function Testing Division and Laboratory Testing Division (the hematology/hemostasis analysis, biochemical analysis, immunology analysis, urinalysis, microbiology analysis sections), and further, the central drawing blood room and laboratory information room. The Laboratory is in operation 24 hours a day.Clinical laboratory testing serves to provide various kinds of important information, such as in the diagnosis of diseases and confirmation of therapeutic effects, along with information regarding measures to prevent the occurrence of contagions within the hospital. Accordingly, the Laboratory strives to provide

accurate, precise test results on a prompt basis. We have obtained a certificate of the international standard ISO 15189. In order to serve as a laboratory that earns the trust of each and every patient, we continue to improve and provide excellent services.

In 2012, the number of operations conducted within the unit reached 8,343, the number of cases managed by the anesthesiologist was 5,632. More than one anesthesiologist with higher ranking will, as a rule, be allocated to a single case, being responsible for the management of anesthesia until the completion of the operation. Patients in the management of anesthesia are cared by the team which consists of anesthesiologists, nurses, and medical staff s. The department of anesthesiology remains a strong provider of clinical care as well as an educational resource for both medical students and residents. All staff s of the operating center are striving to respond to the expanding demands of increasing number of operation needs, which are becoming more advanced and specialized.

集中治療部は1977年に中央手術部集中治療室として開設され

ましたが、大手術後の患者だけでなく内科系患者の入室も増加

し、2012年に中央診療部門の一つである集中治療部として独

立いたしました。

NICUを除く院内唯一の重症患者の治療部門として８床の病床

を有し、集中治療専従医を中心に各科医師、看護師、他のパ

ラメディックスによるチーム医療を推進し、24時間体制で重

症患者の治療に当たっております。

重症患者の病態は個々の症例により違ったものではあります

が、医療チームは全員が各病態に対する共通認識を持ち、治療

の標準化に努めています。

The Intensive Care Unit was established in 1977 as the Central Operation Center ICU Room. Due to the increase in the number of internal medicine patients who are sent to the ICU Room, in addition to those who are sent to the Room following major surgery, the Center became independent in 2012 as one of the central medical examination divisions, the Intensive Care Unit.

The Intensive Care Unit has eight sickbeds as the Hospital's only treatment division for patients with disease in the advanced stage (except for NICU), thereby promoting team medical care in collaboration with doctors who are dedicated to the ICU treatment as well as the doctors of each department, nurses and paramedics under the 24-hour system for patients with disease in the advanced stage. Although each patient with a disease in the advanced stage has different symptoms, whose occurrence and intensity vary depending on the individual case, all of our medical team members share a common awareness regarding the disease conditions of each case and thereby strive to standardize the treatment.

分娩を取り囲む時期（周産期）は母児ともに様態がいつ変化す

るか分からない一面があり、ひとたび病的状態に陥ると、母と

子の二つの命を危険にさらすという特殊性を持っています。 私

医療を行っております。

The period around childbirth (the perinatal period) is such that it is diffi cult to know when the condition of either the mother or the baby may change. It has the characteristic that once either the mother or the baby falls into a critical condition, the lives of both can be in danger. At the Perinatal Center, in order to save the lives of both, we provide medical care everyday by a well-trained team. The Center is divided into two parts, the Delivery Section and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Several skilled medical specialists and staff have been allocated to each section. These personnel communicate and collaborate with each other, providing a high quality medical care environment that brings our patients

peace of mind. Our emergency delivery system (the Obstetric & Gynecological Co-operative System: OGCS and the Neonatal Mutual Cooperative System: NMCS) are available 24 hours a day. We boast outstanding results in that the number of OGCS cases accepted is approximately 150 ‒ 160 per year (No.1 ‒ 2 in Osaka), and that the number of annual hospitalizations in the NICU is approximately 250 (NICU classifi cation: A2).

周産期センターPerinatal Center

輸血室Division of Transfusion Medicine

救急医療部は、高い臨床力を備える人間性豊かな良医を育成す

るために附属病院の中央診療部門のなかで重要な位置を占めて

います。

各診療科と良好な連携を保ちながら、24時間365日を通して救

急で来院された患者さまに迅速で適切な診断と初期治療ができ

るよう日夜努力しています。 また、入院中の患者さまに急変が

あった場合にも、当部のスタッフが駆けつけ主治医とともに最

善の救命処置を行うことで、病院機能の安全と安心を担保する

ための一翼を担っています。 一方、大災害により多数傷病者が

発生した場合には地域の災害拠点病院としての役割を果たすべ

く、教職員が平素から研鑽に励み最良の災害医療に対応できる

ように病院全体で取り組んでいます。

The Department of Emergency Medicine plays an important role in the Hospital’s Central Medical Care Division, in fostering excellent physicians with advanced clinical skills and rich humanity. We of the department strive to provide prompt, accurate diagnosis and primary care to incoming patients, doing so on a 24-hour, 365-day

basis. At the same time we strive to maintain eff ective collaboration with other departments. Moreover, when an emergency situation occurs with an inpatient, our staff members run to the site to assist the chief physician and implement the best possible emergency treatment. Thus our department serves a key role in securing the safety of the Hospital’s overall functionality, so that patients, their families and staff alike can have peace of mind. On the other hand, in preparation for any serious disaster from which large number of people may become ill or/and injured, our personnel strive each day to enhance their skills and knowledge together with other members of the Hospital. As a local station hospital, our objective is to provide the best possible medical care for any given circumstance.

輸血室では、輸血関連検査と輸血用血液の保管管理を24時間

体制で実施しています。 さらにリスクマネージメントの観点か

ら輸血過誤を未然に防ぎ、血液製剤が適正に使用されるよう、

院内で実施される輸血療法の一元管理体制を構築しています。

本院には診療各部門の医師、看護師、薬剤師、検査技師、臨床

工学技士、医事課職員から編成される輸血療法委員会が設置さ

れていますが、当室は輸血医療に関する様々なデータや最新の

知見を委員会にて提示し、審議の中心的役割を果たしています。

今後も当室は、日々の輸血医学の進歩変遷を的確に捉え、院内

のあらゆるスタッフと協調して輸血医療の安全性確保と適正輸

血の推進に努めていきたいと考えております。

The Division of Transfusion Medicine performs the testing and the storage and management of blood used for transfusion under a 24-hour system. Moreover, from the risk management perspective we have established a comprehensive management system for the blood-transfusion treatments conducted within the Hospital, in order to prevent any error from occurring and ensure the appropriate use of blood preparations.The Hospital has also established its Blood Transfusion Committee, which is comprised of physicians from each medical department as well as nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, clinical engineers and the Medical Affairs Section staff . The Division of Transfusion Medicine plays an important core role in the Committee by presenting various data and the latest fi ndings pertaining to blood-transfusion medicine. The Division continually strives to ensure safety in blood-transfusion medicine and to promote appropriate blood transfusion in collaboration with the staff of the Hospital by precisely understanding the daily changes and developments in this fi eld.

血液浄化センターは1977年開設の透析室を前身とし、血液透

析だけでなく、血漿交換、エンドトキシン吸着、白血球除去療

法など新しいアフェレシス治療を次々に導入してきました。 対

象疾患は、急性腎障害、慢性腎臓病、免疫疾患、神経疾患、肝

疾患、炎症性腸疾患などほぼ全科にわたります。 当センターの

責務は、まずこれらのいわゆる難病と呼ばれる疾患に対して血

液浄化治療を行うことにより当院の社会的使命である高度先進

的医療の一翼を担うことです。 さらに慢性維持透析患者さまが

合併症その他で入院治療が必要となった場合、安心して当院を

選んでいただけるよう良質の腎代替療法を提供するのも重要な

業務です。 いずれも当院の高い診療水準の維持に貢献するもの

と確信しています。

The Blood Purification Center opened in 1977 as the Dialysis Unit, and since then the Center has continually introduced new apheresis treatments in addition to hemodialysis, such as plasmapheresis, endotoxin adsorption and leukocytapheresis. The Center encompasses a wide range of target diseases covering nearly all categories, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, immune disorders, neurologic disorders, liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Our primary responsibility is to proactively participate in advanced medical care, which is our Hospital’s social mission, by providing apheresis and dialysis therapies for these intractable diseases. Another important task is to provide high-quality renal replacement therapy so that chronic dialysis patients can be comfortable in choosing our Hospital when treatment for complications or a surgical operation is required. We believe that we contribute to the overall excellence of the Hospital with each task we undertake.

に対応するため、外来化学療法センターが平成18年4月に開設

されました。

当センターでは、専任の臨床腫瘍医を配属し、使用レジメンを

全て登録制にしてエビデンスに基づいた抗がん剤治療を行って

います。そして患者さまに安心して抗がん剤治療を受けていた

だくために、専任の薬剤師による抗がん剤の調剤および患者さ

まへの副作用説明、専任の看護師によるきめこまやかな患者観

察と相談支援など「チーム医療の実践」に努めています。更に

Recent years have seen remarkable improvements in the treatment of cancer. We have entered an era in which not only inpatient treatment but also outpatient chemotherapy has become the mainstream of cancer drug treatments, with greater consideration for the patient’s quality of life (QOL).Accordingly, the Outpatient Chemotherapy Center was established in April 2006, as a means to implement such improvements in cancer treatment. For example, clinical oncologists have been specifically assigned to the Center. At the Center all regimens used are registered in the system, and cancer drug treatments are conducted based on the evidence contained within that system. Moreover, in order for our patients to receive anticancer ‐ agent treatments with peace of mind, we strive to “practice team‐ based medical care”, such as when the Center’s dedicated pharmacists compound drugs and provide the patient with information concerning side effects. Additionally, the nurses at the Center closely monitor the patients, consult with them and give them support, while the physicians (including oncologists, psychiatrists and anesthesiologist), pharmacists, nurses, clinical psychologists and staff members of the Broad-based Network Medical Center combine to ensure the maximum care, comfort and peace of mind for each patient.Furthermore, we at the Center are engaged in many global clinical trials and endeavor to eliminate the drug lag of new anticancer agents.

大阪医科大学での内視鏡検査の歴史は古く、昭和34年に導入後、

昭和57年には日本消化器内視鏡学会より消化器内視鏡指導施

設に認定されました。平成14年6月には、これまで内科、外科、

小児科、放射線科の各科で独立して行われていた内視鏡検査を

集約した消化器内視鏡センターを設立しました。内視鏡検査を

行う医師を登録制とし、検査内容をセンターで一元管理してい

ます。これにより、患者さまに対して安全で質の高い検査や治

療を均一に提供できると考えています。ま

た、平成18年10月にはセンターを中央

診療棟へ移転し、それに伴いNBI （Narrow

Band Imaging）システム、拡大内視鏡、

超音波内視鏡、カプセル内視鏡などの最

新鋭機器を揃え、より確実な診断に基づ

いた最先端の治療を行っています。

Osaka Medical College has a long history of endoscopy. Subsequent to its initial introduction in 1959, the College was certified (in 1982) as a gastroenterological endoscopy instruction facility by the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society. In June 2002 the Endoscopy Center was established to collectively conduct all the endoscopy testing that had been previously conducted individually by the departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Radiology. We have established a registration system for physicians in charge of endoscopy, and we comprehensively manage the details of endoscopy at the Center. We believe that through this system we can provide safe, high-quality testing and treatment to all patients equally.Additionally, in October 2006 the Center was relocated to the

Central Medical Care Ward. Upon this relocation we introduced state-of-the-art medical equipment such as the NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) system, macro-endoscopy, ultrasound endoscopy and video capsule endoscopy, and are thus able to provide the most advanced treatments based on even more accurate diagnosis.

医療現場では欠かせない多種多様な医療機器。それらが効率的

かつ安全に使用され、良質な医療を患者さまに提供するために

は、医師、看護師のみでは負担が大きくなっています。

その様な環境のなかで、医学的な知識のみならず工学的な知識

と技術を持つ専門家として臨床工学技士が活躍しています。

臨床工学室はこのような臨床工学技士 [CE（Clinical Engineer）]

が所属する部署であり、業務としては様々な医療機器の中央管

理、保守点検をはじめ、医師の指示の下に人工呼吸器、人工心

肺装置、血液浄化装置（透析など）といった生命維持管理装置

の操作などを行っています。さらに医療機器の安全使用に係わ

る院内研修を積極的に実施し、医療安全

の維持向上に努めています。また大学病

院であることから教育に対する意識も高

く、院外からの学生や研修者に対する実

習指導なども行い、後継者や指導者の育

成にも力を注いでいます。我々自身も進

化し続ける医療への関心を常に高く持ち、

チーム医療の一員として遜色のないよう

努力します。

Today's medicine requires the use of varied medical equipment. Over the past few years, however, it has become increasingly difficult to operate such equipment safely and efficiently solely through the staff of physicians and nurses in order to provide patients with high-quality medical care. In such an environment the expertise of clinical engineers is essential. They have skills and knowledge not only in medicine but also in engineering. Those clinical engineers (generally referred to as CEs) are stationed at the Clinical Engineering Center. At the Center our duties include the central management and maintenance of various types of ME equipment and the operation of various life-support apparatus such as respirators, heart-lung machines, blood purification apparatus (dialyses, etc.) under physicians' directions. Additionally, we proactively implement internal training for the safe use of the ME equipment in an eff ort to improve medical safety. Furthermore, being a college hospital, we have high awareness in regard to

education. Therefore, we strive to develop instructors and successors through the provision of education, including practicum for students and trainees who visit the hospital for externships. We pledge to maintain our high interest in the evolution of medicine, so that we can continue to provide high-quality medical care and demonstrate our value as part of team-based medical facility.

遺伝カウンセリング室では、遺伝・遺伝子に関する問題について、

もっとも新しい医学および遺伝学の知識をもとにして、専門の

医師の遺伝カウンセラーがわかりやすく説明し、相談者の立場

に立って解決法を一緒に考えます。 疾患の診断に遺伝子検査が

必要な方だけでなく、家族が遺伝性疾患と診断された方や血族

結婚による遺伝的な影響が心配な方、その他遺伝に関する疑問

や悩みがある方を対象としています。 また学外での医療相談会

に遺伝カウンセラーとして参加し、地域の方々の遺伝に関する

相談に応じています。

褥瘡対策室は、①当院における褥瘡の発生を予防すること、②褥

瘡を有する当院患者さまに対して適切な処置を行うこと、の2つを

目的として平成14年10月に開設されました。医師、看護師、薬剤

師、栄養士、理学療法士、広域医療連携センター職員から成るメン

バーで構成され、定期的に院内回診を行い、褥瘡病変の正しいアセ

スメント、適切な局所処置の実施と指示、体圧分散ケア（特に安静

を要するICUにおける高機能マットレスの導入）、排泄ケア、感染防

御、栄養管理など実際的かつ具体的な褥瘡対策を展開しています。

The physicians of the Genetic Counseling Center, as specialists in heredity counseling, provide explanations for the heredity- and gene-related issues in an easy-to-understand manner based on their knowledge of the latest medicine and developments in the science of genetics. As specialists they are able to provide solutions together with those receiving consults, and are able to see the key issues from the patient's perspective. Thus we accommodate the needs not only of those who need genetic screening for the diagnosis of the disease but also for the families of those who have been diagnosed with a genetic disease, those who are concerned about the genetic effects due to consanguineous marriage, and those who have any questions and concerns related to genetics. Moreover, we participate in conferences on medical care held outside the College of Medicine, and provide consultations to people in the community regarding gene-related issues.

The Pressure Ulcer Treatment Center was established in October 2002 for two main purposes: (1) preventing the occurrence of pressure ulcers in the Hospital and (2) providing appropriate treatment for patients with pressure ulcers. Currently, at the Center, the Hospital physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and physiotherapists, as well as staff members of the Department of Medical Social Service and Welfare, employ practical and specifi c pressure ulcer countermeasures. These measures include making the rounds periodically, the proper assessment of pressure ulcer legions, conducting appropriate topical treatment and giving instructions regarding such treatment, the dispersal of body pressure (particularly, introducing therapy beds for the ICU, in which rest is extremely important for patients), excretion care, infection prevention and nutritional management.

リハビリテーションセンターは、外来部門と入院病床ととも

にリハビリテーション科を支える重要な三本の柱のうちのひと

つです。患者さまの障害や生活の不自由さをリハビリテーショ

ン科医師が専門的に診断・評価した上で、障害の種類や程度

に応じた機能訓練（理学療法、作業療法、言語聴覚療法など）

を処方、関連職（理学療法士、作業療法士、言語聴覚士、看

護師、義肢装具士など）とともに包括的なリハビリテーショ

ンプログラムを実施しています。私たちリハビリテーション科

では、患者さまの社会復帰とQOLの向上、維持を最終目標に

掲げ、怪我や病気の発症直後である急性期から精神、運動機

能の回復期、さらには再獲得した精神、運動機能の維持期に

わたり根拠に基づいたリハビリテーション、また、地域の保健・

医療・福祉サービスと連携した多面的チームアプローチを実践

しています。

小学生を対象に開設されました。小児病棟（65病棟）、カンファ

レンスルームにて、月曜日～金曜日の午前9時30分～12時、

午後1時～2時30分まで専任教員による授業が行われています。

入院治療中であることを考慮した楽しい教材や達成感のある創

作が積極的に組み込まれ、また退院後は前籍校にスムーズに復

帰できるように各々の進度や教材に合わせた指導が心がけられて

います。常時数名が在籍しており、創作の時間には就学前の子

供たちも加わって、和気藹々と授業が進められています。院内

学級は小学生に限られるため、中

学生には大阪府立刀根山支援学校

訪問教育部から週3回程度の訪問

教育があります。刀根山支援学校

では、一時退院中や退院後の前籍

校に戻るまでの期間も、自宅での

訪問教育を受けることができます。

the Outpatient and Hospitalization Section. The Center is a facility in which physicians from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine expertly diagnose and assess patient conditions as well as the levels of inconvenience in their daily lives. Based on such diagnosis and assessment, the physicians provide each patient with a comprehensive rehabilitation program that is mainly constituent of functional training (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and auditory therapy, etc.) suitable for the specifi c type and level of disability. They implement such programs together with other professionals in the relevant fi elds (including the physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language-hearing therapists, prosthetist, nurses, etc.). Our missions are to help patients' return to society, and to improve/sustain their quality of life (QOL). Accordingly, based on evidences, we take a multidisciplinary approach in collaboration with local health, medical and welfare services, from the acute phase (immediately after the occurrence of injury or disease) to the convalescent phase for mental and motor functions, and further to the chronic phase for maintaining the recovered mental and motor functions.

The Osaka Medical College Hospital established an internal class in 2006 as a branch school of the Takatsuki Municipality Elementary School, known as “Sumire Class”, for the primary schoolchildren who need to be hospitalized within a certain time period. Classes are given in the conference room of the Children's Ward (Ward 65) by dedicated instructors Monday through Friday of each week from 9:30 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 14:30. In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the hospitalization of children, fun materials and art activities that encourage a sense of accomplishment are proactively incorporated in the text materials for this special class. Additionally, in order to facilitate a smooth return to school for the child who is hospitalized, the instructors of the Sumire Class provide guidance matching to the children's academic progress and the text materials used in the schools to which they belong. The Sumire Class has a constant enrollment of several children. With preschoolers joining in the art class, students are able to learn in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.Because the Hospital's internal class is limited to primary schoolchildren, for

junior-high students we bring instructors from the Visiting Education Department of Osaka Municipality Toneyama Support School approximately three times each week. Toneyama Support School provides students with visiting education, which students can receive at home while they are temporarily discharged from the hospital, as well as during the period between the discharge and return to the school to which they belonged before hospitalization.

病院病理部では附属病院の各科から提出される生検・手術検体

の標本作製・病理組織診断や細胞標本の作製・細胞診断を行っ

ています。とくに多数の一次抗体を準備し、免疫染色に力をい

れています。病理組織診断や細胞診断は患者さまの病気の最終

診断になりますので、臨床各科に正確な診断が報告できるよう

に、できるだけ主治医とのコミュニケーションをはかり、病理

診断医自らは研究会や学会にすすんで参加し診断精度の向上に

努力しています。手術中の迅速病理組織診断や腹水などの迅速

細胞診断も行っています。分子標的治療が必要な場合は患者さ

まの治療を第一とし、必要に応じて検体の提供を行っています。

We in the Hospital Division of Pathology prepare specimens of the biopsies, operation samples and cell specimens submitted by each

department of the Hospital, provide histopathologic and cytologic diagnoses of such specimens and samples. We have prepared numerous primary antibodies for immunostaining. Because histopathologic and cytologic diagnoses are related to the final diagnoses of patients' diseases, it is crucial to provide accurate diagnostic reports to each relevant clinical department. Therefore, we strive to make a accurate diagnosis by communicating with the attending physicians. The pathologists responsible for diagnoses proactively participate in the meetings of study groups and scientifi c societies. Additionally, we provide rapid histopathologic diagnoses of frozen sections and cytologic diagnoses during operations. When a molecular target therapy is required, we place the highest priority on the treatment of the patient and can provide a specimen as needed.
