Foundation Drawing 101- Working in Graphite 10 weeks Cost: $149 Description: This is a 20+ lesson, 10 week, step by step course that breaks down the fundamentals of accurate drawing. I designed this course for beginning as well as advanced artists who want a thorough progression in drawing using graphite. Each lesson is broken down into a concise video format with demonstrations, assignments, personal feedback from me and a private Facebook group page to share your work with others. The subject matter is based on nature but can be applied to other forms of realistic subject matters. Introduction: I firmly belief that your finished work of art is only as good as your foundation drawing. This is why I designed this online course. All too often drawing gets over looked. People are anxious to get to the painting and later become frustrated. As their work progresses a sense of dissatisfaction occurs. I believe it is because not enough time was spent to REALLY learn to draw. Mistakes become magnified as a work of art progresses. Accurate drawing is a skill, not a talent. It can be learned just like riding a bicycle, playing the piano, or driving a car. This online class covers the fundamentals of good drawing skills. Through a series of exercises I show how to draw accurately by training your eye to observe. Each component of drawing is broken down in a step by step progression for easy learning. The components build one on top of the other until the structure of how to draw unfolds. With practice and dedication accurate drawing can by learned. I take the mystery out of drawing and destroys the myth that drawing can only be done by the chosen “talented” few.
