What is FOTOIBEROAMÉRICA?

It is an initatve of FIBART and the diplomatc representaton of the Iberoamerican Community of Natons based in Spain. A total of 44 images that summarize an unique & modern vision of Latn America.

The frst cultural acton born from the Ibero American consen developed in the European area. A project involving internatonal photographers and a exhibiton that selects two slides per country.

A biennial show that tries to open a new way for many artsts, promotng their work and spreading throughout the world a plural and diferent percepton of Latn America.

A jury of diplomatcs and ofcial insttutons that support the artstc quality of the images, which are full of color, life and feeling.

Un jurado compuesto por representaciones diplomátcas y organismos ofciales que avalan la calidad artstca de las imágenes, llenas de color, vida y sentmiento.

Showing the cultural power and the plurality of Latn American people, their diversity of color and feeling, through the image.

Generatng a space for the Latn American photography, trying to disclose in all possible felds the creatve richness of its artsts.

Creatng a contnuous cycle with successive editons. A place where the great and promising young Latn Americans photographers may display their creatons, their concerns and their vision of what Latn America is today.

Promotng several initatves to bring the art of photography to the largest possible number of Latn American children and youth.

Providing a stage for the picture and thought, a feld of remembrance and hope, building and meetng. A necessary challenge for the future of Latn America.

It is a simple producton with high visual impact, easy to move and manage. It It is adaptable to diferent spaces and environments, indoor and outdoor exhibiton spaces and urban spaces.

It is suitable for all ages and open to the world thanks to its website support and its heterogeneity.

It is an exhibiton whith cultural and media interest, worthy and easy to promote. It is also open to sponsorships, partnerships and associatons.

It is a young and fexible initatve, welcomed by thousands of visitors both in its physical form as in online entries received from all around the world, especially the U.S..

It was Inaugurated in Oviedo, SPAIN, on September 2010, and has traveled to Seville, Huelva and Cadiz before moving to Prague, Bratslava, Vienna and many other cites ...
