FOSUN TIMES 2015.10.31 02 Events / News Fosun Group and Die Philharmonie der Nationen decided to use the opportunity presented by the “Building Bridges, from Symphony to i-Taiching – Launch Event of the Chinese-German Culture Exchange Program” to launch a “Chinese-German Culture Exchange Program.” As the first step in this program, Fosun Foundation and the Justus Frantz Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation to establish a long term cooperative relationship and to jointly promote Chinese-German cultural exchange. At the same time, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Cultural Development Foundation and the Justus Frantz Foundation also signed a memorandum of cooperation to strengthen cooperative exchanges between the two foundations From September 27 to September 29, 2015, the first Fosun European Branding and Marketing Regional Conference was held in Nice, France, at the Club Med Opio en Provence. At this event, all the heads of Fosun’s European branding and marketing gathered to discuss Fosun’s global brand communication strategies, resource coordination, public affairs, and risk management. Fosun Chief Communication Officer Committee The General Assembly announced the establishment of the Fosun Chief Communication Officer Committee to further promote the discussion in various topics and continue the optimization of inter-regional brand and marketing exchange systems. Sharing and Mutual Communication As a core member of the Fosun businesses in Europe, Club Med and Fidelidade attached great importance to this meeting. The CEO of Club Med, Henri Giscard D’Estaing, and the CEO of Fidelidade, Jorge Magalhães Correia, presented opening and closing speeches respectively and shared experiences of the Club Med brand and proposals for public opinion management and CSR in Portugal. Participants from enterprises such as Luz Saúde, Osborne, Silver Cross, Tom Tailor also shared their brand strategies and best practices for their respective countries and brands. As a professional meeting focused on branding, a preparatory group formed from the group’s brand division and Club Med’s brand division at topics for discussion in advance. While the participants, besides sharing their brand strategies for each of their businesses, as well as the trends and media environments in each of their countries, also participated in two brainstorming sessions to exchange ideas on issues such as crisis response, new media strategies, and the coordination of Fosun’s systems and media resources. Liang Xinjun: Brand Building Must Follow the CIPC Model The Fosun Group’s Vice Chairman and CEO, Liang Xinjun, stated in his keynote address that brand building has become increasingly important as part of Fosun’s globalization strategy. Employees of the group and each of its business’ brands must form global brand action groups for matters such as public relations, government relations, customer relations, investor relations, and CSR, to systematically promote the building of Fosun’s brands. He emphasized that brand building must also be based on the CIPC model in order to improve corporate ratings, and focus on product innovation and service, so as to improve customer experience in the health and fashion and lifestyle industries. On October 27, Fosun Group announced the launch of Fosun Eurasia Capital LLC in Moscow (hereinafter referred to as “Fosun Eurasia”), a key integrated financial platform for Fosun’s investment and asset management advisory businesses in Russia and neighbouring countries. Fosun Eurasia has been co-founded by Fosun and its local partners in Russia, Ms. Tanya Landwehr and Mr. Igor Danilenko, two leading figures in Russia’s financial services industry. Fosun Eurasia will identify value investment opportunities in the region for deployment of Fosun’s capital, to further strengthen Fosun’s global investment capabilities, and to quicken the pace at which Fosun continues to build a multi-billion dollar global asset management business. As a sign of its commitment to the Russian market, Fosun will provide strong financial support to opportunities in the region, providing the team with an unconstrained investment approach covering fixed income, direct investments, real estate, bond, equity and private equity projects. Next to deployment of internal capital, Fosun Eurasia will provide external investment advisory services to both local and international investors, combining the global investment strength of Fosun Group, with the extensive operational investment experience of its co-founders. Ms. Tanya Landwehr has over 20 years of extensive investment management and advisory experience in the capital markets of Europe and the Asia Pacific. Before co- founding Fosun Eurasia, she held the position of CFO at TKB BNP Paribas Investment Partners in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Here she helped the company to grow into the world’s largest advisor on Russian equities as well as one of Russia’s three largest asset management companies at its peak. Mr. Igor Danilenko has strong track record in the field of equity investments, being named as one of the top three buy-side professionals in Russia according to the Thomson Reuters Extel Survey 2013 and 2015. Igor has successfully developed, managed and advised on high alpha Russian equity strategies, consistently out-performing global peers across all market capitalisations.
