accounting principles generally accepted in the United States. All forms required to be completed and
submitted via the National Redzone were done on
August 30th, with the final approval signature from President Turner on August 31st. Copies are
attached to this report are the Annual IAR, the External audit report and the audited financial
statements.

In July, the National Audit chair informed all chapters that engage an external CPA of new processes to
verify the CPA's credentials. We had already engaged with Charles Paul before these procedures were
implemented, therefore, it did not apply to this audit. However, I did verify that his license is in good
standings.
Additionally, the directive does state that if the chapter has been utilizing the same CPA for the past
seven consecutive years, that the audit committee should consider entertaining proposals from other
CPA's or CPA firms to ensure the chapter is receiving the best service at a competitive price. A Soror with
an active CPA license may perform.
The audit as long as she is not a member of the chapter she is performing the service for.
To these ends, the Internal Audit Committee will be accepting written referrals of CPA's to send RFP to
for the 20162017 year. Please forward all written referrals to my attention no later than the November
chapter meeting. Thank you
Upcoming Activities: Meet Greet for new committee members
Recommendation: The budget for the 201617 year was adopted at $2,000. I recommend that it be
increased by $100 to accommodate for refreshments for the 4 quarterly audits that are required to be
performed.
