LOGIC PUZZLE?If you’ve never solved a logic puzzle before, this guide will help show you how. We’ll go step by step through a simple puzzle, and give you some solving tips along the way. A logic puzzle tests your brain in many twisty, bendy ways. Good luck! 1. The Story will help you understand content.2. The Clues will help you figure out the grid, and eventually, the answers!3. The Grid is meant to make solving easier. Use the grid as a way to take notes and cross off boxes when clues tell you right or wrong answers.
Use the clues to find out which candy is liked by each monster.
1. The vampire does not like candy corn or lollipops, but likes fruit.2. The mummy loves chocolate.3. The zombie does not like bubble gum.4. Frankenstein likes candy corn.
TIPS: Make X’s and O’s !• Use X’s to cross out boxes and eliminate
impossible choices! (Clue #1: Make an X in the vampire’s column next to Candy Corn and Lollipop.)
• Mark an O in the box of a correct answer and cross out all choices vertically and horizontally in that category! (Clue #2: The mummy loves chocolate, so put an O in the box under Mummy and in the row marked Chocolate Bar)
SIt is finally Halloween and the five monsters are out roaming the streets! The Vampire, Frankenstein, Mummy, Werewolf and the Zombie have one goal in mind... to trick- or-treat for their favorite type of candy! They walked,
crawled, flew and ran throughout the night, knocking door to door, house to house, in search for their sweet treats. Which candy is each monster’s favorite?

How do I solve A LOGIC PUZZLE?
1. WHAT IS THE CLUE: The vampire does not like candy corn or lollipops, but likes fruit. THAT MEANS: a. If the vampire likes fruit, which candy contains fruit? Caramel Apple Here is a tip: Once you put an O in a box, put X’s in the rest of the boxes in the same row and column.
2. WHAT IS THE CLUE: The mummy loves chocolate. THAT MEANS: a. Put an O in the box that meets Mummy and Chocolate Bar. b. Put X’s in the same row and column.
3. WHAT IS THE CLUE: The zombie does not like bubble gum. THAT MEANS: a. What candies are left over for the zombie? Candy Corn or Lollipops
4. WHAT IS THE CLUE: Frankenstein likes candy corn. THAT MEANS: a. Put an O in the box that meets Frankenstein and Candy Corn. b. Put X’s in the same row and column.
5. Once all clues have been marked on the grid, you can see what is left over! I know that Vampire likes caramel apples, Frankenstein likes candy corn, and Mummy likes the chocolate bar. Look at your grid! Who is the only monster left that doesn’t have an X for bubble gum? Werewolf! That means the Zombie likes lollipops. You’re done!

D The night before Halloween, five wizards met for their monthly magic meeting. Merlin, Harry, Nico, Richard, and Leonid are all incredible wizards and perform their own style of magic. The word had gotten out to their wizarding village
that each wizard uses a certain magic word to make magical things happen, but they also need a certain magic prop to perform their tricks. There were also rumors that these wizards would have great fights, or duels, to settle arguments or debates about their ideas. Tonight would be one of those nights... At tonight’s meeting, the fantastic five began to argue about who will get to pass out the Halloween candy to trick-or-treaters. So they decide to have a friendly wizards duel to see who gets the job. Find out what magic word and magic prop each wizard needs to win the wizards duel.
1. Harry, Leonid, and Richard do not use beads to do their magic. 2. Nico, who uses a hat, does not say “Shakey Shakey” or
“Shazam.” 3. The wizard that uses a flute says “Wowie Zowie.” Harry likes
words that start with “S.” 4. Merlin’s magical prop and words start with the same letter. 5. Richard, who uses a wand, does not say “Boobooboo,” “Shakey
Shakey” or “Lumos.”
