I am from the country side of the state of N.Y. and I grew up on a dairy farm. I joined U.S. Navy and served for four and a half years and I recently got engaged.
The objective of this project is to digitally design a typographic book using a display font and workhorse font.
The goals of this project is to design and display two different typefaces in a way that creates awareness of the history, form and function of different typefaces and their uses.

Futura
Paul Renner, a typeface designer, was born in Wernigerode, Germany. He was born in Prussia and had a strict Protestant upbringing. He was brought up to have a very German sense of leadership, of duty and responsibility. He created a new set of guidelines for good book design and invented the popular Futura, a geometric sans-serif font used by many typographers throughout the 20th century and today.
Renner was a prominent member of the German Work Federation. Two of his major texts are Typography as Art and The Art of Typography. The typeface Architype Renner is based upon Renner’s early experimental exploration of geometric letterforms for the Futura typeface, most of which were deleted from the face’s character set before it was issued.
Miama
The SIL Open Font License (OFL) is a free and open source license designed for fonts by SIL International for use with some of their Unicode fonts. The license is considered free by the Free Software Foundation, which states that a simple hello world program is enough to satisfy the license’s requirement that a font using the license be distributed with computer software. Miama was created by Linus Romer (Fuex).
