Flower Card Tutorial

I get lots of requests when I make a card using a flower as to how I make them. I thought I

would put together this free tutorial so that you could all make them.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies

Fabulous Phrases Stamp set (wood) 122053

(Clear) 120501

Wisteria Wonder A4 card stock (124389)

Whisper White A4 card stock (106549)

Elegant Eggplant A4 card stock (108614)

Framed Tulips Embossing Folder (121809)

Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder (116824)

Island Floral Bigz Die (118871)

Fancy Flower Punch (118073)

Word Window Punch (119856)


Modern Label Punch (119849)

Clear Rhinestone Brads (113144)

Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Step 1

Cut Wisteria Wonder card stock 21cm x 13.8cm. Score at 10.5cm across the 21cm length.

Cut Whisper White card stock 13.2cm x 9.9cm. Emboss using the Framed Tulips Embossing

Folder.

Step 2

Step 3

Fold Wisteria Wonder card on score line and attach Embossed Whisper White card to the front.

Cut Whisper White card stock 11.2 cm x 7.9cm.

Cut Elegant Eggplant card stock 7.9cm x 7cm. Emboss using the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing

Folder.

Attach embossed Elegant Eggplant card stock to Whisper White card stock 11.2 x 7.9cm.

Turn this piece so that the plain Whisper White card stock is facing you and add 5 Stampin’

Dimensionals to the back.

Attach to the card front inside the Embossed Tulips Frame .

Cut one large and one small flower from Wisteria Wonder card stock using the Island Floral

Bigz Die. Also punch one Fancy Flower from Wisteria Wonder card stock.

Use your bone folder to distress each flower on both sides.

Continue until the card stock starts to separate into two layers.

Step 11

Separate each of the 3 flowers into two layers. You will notice that the inside of the card stock

has an uneven texture. This is the side you want to use as the face of your flower.

Take each of the flower pieces and scrunch into a small tight ball.

Carefully open each of the flower pieces out and stack onto a Clear Rhinestone Brad, beginning

with the small flower from the Island Floral Bigz Die, then the Fancy Flower and then the large

flower from the Island Floral Bigz Die, making sure that you stagger the petals as you go.

Now take each flower individually and scrunch up tightly around the Clear Rhinestone Brad.

Carefully open the layers, you don’t want to flatten them too much.

Add Mini Glue Dots to the back of the flower and attach to the front of the card.

Stamp “celebrate” from the Fabulous Phrases stampset onto Whisper White card using Elegant

Eggplant ink. Punch out using the Word Window Punch.

Punch a Modern Label from Wisteria Wonder card stock.

Attach the greeting to the Modern Label.

Turn the greeting over so that the Wisteria Wonder side of the Modern Label is showing and

attach two Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Attach to the front of the card below the flower.

I have made this type of flower using many punches and dies including all of the Circle

Punches and Dies and all of the Scallop Circle Punches and Dies sold by Stampin’ Up! I hope

you have fun experimenting with your favourite flower shapes. Below are two more flower
