research center collaborated with Indian
Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore.
It’s owned by Kris Gopalakrishnan and Sudha
• Kris Gopalakrishnan, is the
executive vice chairman (co-
founder) of Infosys, a global
consulting and IT services company
based in India.
• He is the Chief Mentor of Startup
Village.
• Kris is the chairman of the International Institute of
Information Technology, Bangalore and vice chairman of the
Board for Information Technology Education Standards
(BITES) set up by the government of Karnataka.
• On 5 April 2013 he was elected as the president of the industry
body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the year
2013-14.
• In 2011, Government of India awarded him with
Padma Bhushan which is India's third highest
civilian honor

• Indian technology is advancing day-to-day, so they want more and more funds.
• It is big help for the researchers, because they get only limited funds from the govt.
• Indian science can go up several notches if some world class institutions come up this way.
