Joint Meeting of the Advisory Committee and the Executive Board

NICOSIA 17/1/2014

• To raise awareness on aviation safety ( airlines, ATM, airports).

• To criticize if and when it is realized that there are deficiencies to safety.

• To facilitate training and education on flight safety.

• To promote cooperation between the various sectors of aviation in Cyprus and between the countries of the region.

• To develop co-operation with other safety related bodies.

OBJECTIVES OF FSF-MED

• Fourth international conference : “ aviation safety in the turbulence of the current economic crisis”

• Signing of an MOC with the FISHER INSTITUTE of Israel.

• Co-organisation of the International Civil Aviation Conference” in Tel-Aviv with the CAA Israel and Fisher Institute.

• Facilitation and encouragement of Israeli private pilots to fly to Cyprus.

• Initiation of the project on “ safety in general aviation” , together with the Romanian Aeronautical Association” and the “ Fisher Institute”.

• Initiation of the project relating to the safety of off-shore heliports and helicopters in the Israeli and Cyprus EEZ.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN 2013

• Career and information seminars for students and young unemployed ,on air transport professions-first one on 7/2/2014

• Seminar for private pilots of Greece, Israel, Romania and Cyprus- 7/3/2014

• Fifth international conference on “ Aviation safety : can we measure performance?”

• Fear of flying seminars

• Follow up with the project on off-shore heliport and helicopters flying in the Israeli and Cyprus EEZ.

• Follow up of the project on the safety of general aviation
