The first thing a first aider should do when approaching, or on their way to, a ictim is to put on their gloves (remember GO to victim (Gloves On)). Cover the wound with a sterile dressing. Apply direct pressure until bleeding stop. Cover dressing with bandages. If bleeding don't stop apply additional dressing and bandages. Take steps to minimize shock. Call 911.CONTROL BLEEDING 9. Put on gloves. Check the area. Remove any clothing that is close to the burn area by cutting the clothing away with scissors. Coveer the area with a sterile gauaze pad and wrap with a bandage.BURNS 10. Place gloves on first. Take the tweezers and sterilze them with the alchol pads.
