• reduce the risk of fire breaking out

• prevent the spread of flames and smoke

• ensure that all occupants can beevacuated safely

• enable the emergency services to takeaction

Recommendation 86/666/EECTo meet these objectives, all necessaryprecautions shall be taken:• safe and clearly marked escape routes• building's structural stability in the event of fire• presence of flammable material limited• appropriate systems for alerting occupants• safety instructions and plan of escape routes

in each room• emergency firefighting equipment• staff is given suitable instruction and training

Paragraph 8 Fire Safety:(a) (...)(b) The Hotel shall allow DLH to inspect fire-fightingEquipment, emergency exits and staircases, and hotel fire safety procedures at regular intervals(c) (...)

(d) The "ANNEX TECHNICAL GUIDELINES" handedover to the Hotel is part of this Agreement insofaras these fire precautions are not yet realized at theHotel in a respective kind. (...)

! Safety engineer checks content and gives assistance to DLH accommodation department

! After a hotel has been chosen and is getting used forCrewaccommodation the feedback from the crews ischecked by our Flightreportingsystem

! In urgent cases Safety engineer performs a riskanalysisby inspecting the hotel and interviewing Hotelmanager
