Stopper II consists of a clear, tamperproof,tough polycarbonate shield and framethat fits over manual pull stations. Whenlifted to gain access to the actual alarm, itsounds a piercing 95 or 105 dB or warninghorn. Immediate attention is drawn tothe area and a prankster will either run orbe caught.

The Stopper II is a patented device hashelped stop false fire alarms around theworld for over 30 years, withoutrestricting legitimate alarms. ThisStopper II enclosure with heater allowsaddressable dual monitor modules to beinstalled inside or outside intemperatures below UL/ULC Listinglimits or in other NEMA 3Renvironments. UL/cUL and ULC Listingrequires outdoor rated stations. Thecover offers excellent protection against

physical damage (both accidental andintentional), as well as other environmentsinside and outside. Also ideal for theinside of walk-in freezers.

Stopper II® with heater consists of aclear, tough polycarbonate shield, frameand heater. The Stopper II is mounted ona NEMA 3R enclosure with a heaterwhich allows an addressable manualpull station to be installed inside oroutside in cold temperatures.

This tough, clear polycarbonate coverhelps dramatically to extend the life andreliability of weather exposed manualpull stations, push buttons and similardevices as well as protect them in harshindoor conditions. Using the same toughcover as the Stopper II® device but withoutthe warning horn, it is especially useful inincreasing the lifespan of units insaltwater areas or other severeenvironments. Two versions are offered:

STI-1250 for flush mounted stations andSTI-3150 for surface mounted units.

Because this strong, durable cover cantake the toughest knocks, it also guardsagainst physical damage and therebyhelps reduce false fire alarms. It is UV-stabilized and in addition protects againstdamage from dust and grime. WeatherStopper carries a three year guaranteeagainst breakage in normal use.

Accepted by fire marshals, these versionsof the world famous STI Stopper II® aredesigned for areas where a ”break glass”cover is specified, such as unsupervisedareas. Each device consists of a redpolycarbonate cover, mounting frame, apane of single strength glass (easilyreplaced when broken), a glass breakingmetal bar and anchors for installation.Two models are available for fire, thesmaller STI-6100 and the larger STI-4100.

A spacer (STI-3100-R) is available for theSTI-4100 to add 2” depth in order toaccommodate surface mounted conduitinstallations. A third ”generic” model(STI-6700) is available to cover devicesother than manual pull stations. Thesame size as the STI-6100, it includes awall mount hanging clip for keys, etc.This model for non-fire applicationssimply says ”BREAK GLASS”.

These virtually indestructible covers(slotted for horn or speaker units andsolid for strobe only alarms) are designedto stop vandalism and accidentaldamage. These virtually indestructible covers(slotted for horn or speaker units andsolid for strobe only alarms) are designedto stop vandalism and accidentaldamage. Molded of clear, thick, UV-stabilized polycarbonate material, theyare backed by a three year guaranteeagainst breakage in normal use. Slots inthe STI-1210 B, C, D and E models allow thehorn to be heard. STI-1221 B, C, D and Emodels are for strobes only. Many tough,clear spacers are available for largerstrobe/horn units, retrofits, surface mountand weather resistant applications. For the

STI-1210/1221 series, spacer B has a solidback and is molded with an integral doublegang outlet box. Spacer C has an openback for retrofit applications. Spacer Daccommodates deeper units andapplications with exposed conduitelectrical connections. When not specified,units are sent with Spacer E, an open backframe for flush mount applications. Anappliance mounting plate comes with theSTI-1219/STI-1229. Unique Enviro Kits areavailable for extreme conditions wheredampness, water or dust are present.
