Training Programme 2016

A Vital Role

In most manufacturing industries, spraying is still a labour intensive job and depends totally on the experience and care of the operator. In the wrong hands a spray gun can be very inefficient, producing a poor finish, creating a high percentage of costly rejects and wasting increasingly expensive paints and coatings. Training has a vital role to play in any trade or profession and the skill of spray finishing is a prime example where a small investment can provide significant rewards in the overall efficiency of

a paint shop or body shop.

Structured Courses

Finishing Brands UK have a long and successful track record in training at all levels and the Centre offers four standard courses structured to meet the requirements of operators, supervisory staff and management

Under the guidance of our full time Technical Support and Training personnel, the courses concentrate on spray gun handling, techniques, maintenance and fault finding to provide a valuable complement to the courses on paint and materials organised by the coatings manufacturers.

Emphasis is placed on practical experience and hands-on use of the equipment in order to instil as much spraying confidence and basic knowledge to the trainee as is possible in the time available.

Special Requirements Of course, it is possible that you want something slightly different and not met by the standard sessions. If this is the case then please talk to us. It is possible for us to formulate specialised training sessions just for you. The range of subjects and equipment that can be covered include the following:

Continual reference is made to paints and coating materials. It is not our specialised subject, but we can point you in the direction of our Coatings Manufacturing colleagues, with whom we closely work. Although not normally carried out in our standard courses, it is possible on special occasions for us to have ‘guest’ speakers from any of the material manufacturers, to add their knowledge of their products. Likewise we are willing to work with manufacturers of complementary equipment so that we may provide a complete training package. Get in touch with us to check the current prices for special sessions held in the Training school. Involvement of other non-Finishing Brands personnel may involve additional charges. Contact us for more details and to discuss your particular requirements

Training at your Premises If it is difficult for you to come to us then we can come to you! We can train, at your premises, with similar sessions to those already mentioned above. Of course, as you will appreciate, it is not so easy to cover such a wide range of equipment on site as we will not have our normal facilities or equipment store on hand, and hence, if at all possible, we prefer to do training courses at Bournemouth. We charge a rate per day plus mileage and expenses. Telephone, Fax or email us with your details and to find out our current charges.
