In last month's newsletter, we inadvertantly (and erroneously) reported that Payton Manning was recognized as Best Actress in the Georgia Theatre Conference R. Lynn Wooddy Festival of Plays. It was actually Payton Richardson who won the award. For those of you who would like further clarification, this is Payton Richardson performing her role... We extend a heartfelt apology to Miss Richardson. We are not inclined to do the same for Mr. Manning. He The Camden Middle School Bands will offer their annual holiday program this afternoon and evening at the CCHS Auditorium. Admission is free. The event is open to the public. All patrons are asked to wear masked and maintain social distancing between their party and other parties that attend the concert. In an effort to further promote safety, the bands are performing on a staggered schedule: 5:00 PM 8th Grade Concert 6:00 PM 7th Grade Concert 7:00 PM 6th Grade Concert The adjusted schedule will allow patrons, students and families to attend the entire program, or just the portions that involve their family members. We hope you can join us to celebrate the accomplishments of the Camden Middle School Bands as they share a little holiday cheer! The CCHS Bands and Ensembles proudly present A Winter Festival, the 2020 holiday concert on Monday, December 14 at 6:30 PM in the CCHS Auditorium. Admission is $3 at the door. The program includes holiday music from around the world and features the CCHS Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble and Wind Symphony. We hope you can join us for the sounds of the season! The CCHS Fine Arts Academy continues our annual holiday celebrations this week with Upon A Winter's Eve. The annual holiday chorus concert is set for this Thursday, December 10 at 6:30 at the CCHS Auditorium. Admission is $6 at the door with a $20 family cap. The program will present an evening of contrasts, from contemporary Hannukah to Renaissance Latin to holiday favorites from the canon of Carols. The concert will feature the CCHS Wildcat Chorus, Camden Women's Chorale, Concert Chorus, Volume One, Bella Voce and the women's literary participants. Come one, come all to enjoy the songs of the season! Look for us at the following events! We will look for you! Saint Marys Middle School Band Director Holly Cottrell and her students decided to turn the lemons that have come their way in 2020 into lemonade for the entire community by moving their annual holiday concert to an open-air setting. The SMMS Band programs will play on Friday, December 11 at 6:30 PM at the Howard Gilman Waterfront Park in downtown Saint Marys. The concert is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
