Project

To create user interfaces that were native to various mobile

devices, whether iOS or Android and to improve speed of

performance, which could be slowed by code running in web view.

Using Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android, Softjourn

developers created user interfaces that look, feel and

perform like a native application. In addition, the Softjourn

team added a receipt-capture option. Previously, PEX

users recorded their expenses manually. With receipt

capture, they continue this process but can now use their

phone cameras to photograph receipts and upload them to

the app to provide visual proof of an expense.

The Softjourn team has decided to do some research on

blockchain and gain the experience with it after hearing a

lot about this technology. That’s why we decided to develop

an in-house loyalty system based on cryptocurrency with

smart contracts. This internal currency, which we call “SJ

coins,” can be spent on goods sold through vending

machine, for gym and water park passes, and more,

eventually.

The Softjourn team developed iOS and Android mobile

clients to operate as token wallets and vending machine

inventory browsers, with the ability to buy goods from
