In last month’s editorial, I informed you about the need of eNewspaper to be published by Indian language newspaper industryon web. Few newspapers are doing this (may not be scientifically but with whatever ways & means, choices, etc. each one ofthem had). But large numbers of Indian language newspapers are yet to understand & realise the importance of eNewspaper.

1. After installing Shree-Lipi Software, when you click on Shree-Lipi 32

bit, you are getting message "Error loading module. Error code-1,

Language symbol Shree-Lipi 4.0/5.0/6.0".

1.Note: Close all Shree-Lipi applications.

a. Click on < Start >

b. Click on < Run >

c.Type < regedit >, Registry EditorWindow will open up.

d. Click on < + > sign, next to < HKEY_CURRENT_USER >

e. Click on < + > sign, next to < Software >

f. Select the folder < Modular InfoTech>

g. Right Click the folder and click on < Delete >

h. Click on < + > sign, next to < HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >

i. Click on < + > sign, next to < Software >

j. Select the folder < Modular InfoTech>

k. Right Click the folder and click on < Delete >

l. Close Registry Editor and restart the system.

2.If you are using Shree-Lipi 7.1, part no. 13 & above

Go to start => Program => Shree-Lipi Dev Ratna => click on Modular Registry

Cleaning Utility, Choose All Modular Registry and Click on Delete Registry

button.

3. After deleting registry entry, Delete the msscr_32.exe / SL7_32.exe process

in the task manager and then open Shree-Lipi Dev Ratna 32 bit

OR

If you have not installed any language while installing Shree-Lipi software

then also this error comes. You have to select at least one language while

installing Shree-Lipi software.

OR

If your system is infected by virus, or all the programs and files are not copied in

Shree-Lipi installation folder then also this error comes. You have to remove

the virus and reinstall software.

If you are composing bilingual documents (English and one Indian

language) in say MSWord, you will have to change the script frequently. After

changing the script, the font and point size for that script also will have to be

set. This is time consuming. To eliminate this, the ‘Set Font on Script change’

option is provided. If this option is enabled, on toggling the activation key, the

font and point size in applications like MS Word, WordPad and Adobe

PageMaker change to the default font and size set for that script in the Shree-

Lipi main menu.

Shree-LIpi has taken care of most of the application settings on selection

of“Automatically detect application type”option, but if you are using any new

application which is not listed then Shree-Lipi may not work correctly with the

new Windows Application or a new version of the software i.e. composition

may not work properly, you may get repeated characters or characters may

not appear at all. In such a scenario you may have to tune Shree-Lipi to work

with the respective application.

To do this

1.Click on the icon of Shree-Lipi in the system tray.

2.Uncheck Automatic Detection of ApplicationType.

3.Point to Application.

4.Keep on changing the Application Type one at a time and try composing in

the application using Shree-Lipi.

5.Repeat the above step until you are satisfied with the performance.

6.The correct application type will be preserved for future use.
