Preterite Tense
The preterite is used for past actions that are seen as completed.
To conjugate regular -ar verbs in the preterite, simply drop the ending (-ar) and add one of the following:

When is the future tense used? The future tense is used to tell what "will" happen, or what "shall" happen.
How is it used in English? English: I will go to the beach next month.
I shall write the letter next week

What is the possessive adjective? Possessive adjectives agree with the nouns they modify. That is, they agree with the thing possessed, not the possessor
How is it used?
There are five possessive adjectives.

Three possessive adjectives (mi, tu, su) have only two forms, singular and plural.

Ramón, Ana y Tomás son hermanos. Tomás es el mayor y Ana es la menor. Sus padres son de España pero ahora toda la familia vive en Nueva York. Su padre trabaja en una tienda y su madre es profesora de arte en una escuela. Tienen un perro que se llama José. A Tomás le gusta el béisbol, y en general le gustan todos los deportes. A su hermano Ramón no le gustan los deportes. Ramón prefiere leer y escuchar música. Sabe tocar muy bien el piano. Ana es estudiante de baile y practica todos los días.
Sarita salió anoche. ¿Con quiénes salió? Salió con un grupo de amigos. Fueron al cine donde vieron una película americana. Las películas americanas son muy populares en España y en
Latinoamérica. ¿Comprendió Sarita la película? Sí, la comprendió. Ella la vio en versión original que
significa que la vio en inglés, no doblada al español. Pero la vio con subtítulos en español.
En España y en los países latinoamericanos en general, una muchacha joven como Sarita no
suele salir con sólo con un muchacho. Los jóvenes suelen salir más en grupo a las discotecas. Pero es
algo que está cambiando. Hoy los jóvenes están saliendo más y más en parejas. Pero, por lo general, los padres de la joven quieren saber con quién está saliendo su hija. Quieren conocer al muchacho. Pero como aquí, lo que quieren los padres y lo que pasa no es siempre lo mismo, ¿verdad?
En español no hay una palabra equivalente a “dating” o “date”. Tampoco existe una traducción exacta de “boyfriend” o “girlfriend”. Un novio o una novia es la persona con quien un individuo está saliendo exclusivamente. Algún día piensan contraer matrimonio. Un novio o una novia es más que un amigo o una amiga.
