Dear Colleagues,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome the 10th Annual Asset Integrity Management Summit in Muscat, Oman, which will run from 1-4 March 2015 at Muscat’s InterContinental Hotel. Hosted by Petroleum Development Oman and Shell Development Oman, this summit promises to be an event where operators and vendors can share common learnings and solutions to improve asset integrity performance.

The 2015 conference is cleverly themed around integrity leadership, design, operating and technical integrity, allowing for real focus on key asset integrity successes of operators within Oman and the Middle East.

There is real breadth of manufacturing and construction company talent in Oman and many of these local companies who deliver asset integrity services to Oman and Middle East operators will be participating in the 2015 conference. The exhibition hall will feature live product demos to allow operators and vendors to explore delivery opportunities.

There is also a focus day on asset integrity Learning From Incidents (LFIs) for those who are interested in sharing LFI processes and how this is fed back to improve asset integrity management.

We hope you will be able to join us at this annual summit in Muscat and recommend all oil and gas related companies to join.

Allan Grieve Operations and Maintenance Manager, Joint Venture Excellence Shell Development Oman

Top 5 Reasons to Attend:1. Improve technical integrity performance and measure the impact on the bottom line through case study presentations from ORPIC2. Develop a consistent and effective asset integrity strategy by hearing how Petroleum Development Oman, BP Oman and Dubai Petroleum are developing their current systems3. Benchmark the integration of your own integrity processes by hearing how Shell, the aerospace industry and other major operators in the Middle East measure their assets’ performance 4. Identify and eliminate integrity related risks through effective alarm management systems5. POST CONFERENCE INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP DAY 4 MARCH 2015

08.30 Registration, coffee and networking

09:00 Improving corrosion management and related applications for effective asset integrity management This session will focus on the important factors that are crucial in the selection and evaluation of pipes to mitigate corrosion. It will cover important aspects like selecting the best coating to improve the performance of the pipes, therefore extending its lifecycle while minimising maintenance costs. Workshop Led by: Professor A.S.Khanna, Professor (Corrosion Science and Engg), Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

10:30 Networking break

11:00 Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and high energy pipework integrity management This session is based on Doosan’s approach to integrity management of a HRSG plant and High Energy Pipework (HEP). It will also cover common issues such as flow accelerated corrosion management and life management of Grade 91 material that concern clients across the globe. Attendees will gain an insight into office, laboratory and site-based activities that support a successful risk-informed approach to integrity management, whatever the prevailing regulatory requirements may be. Workshop Led by: Kevin Murray, Group Leader-Structural Integrity Engineering, Doosan Babcock

IQPC’s workshops are unique opportunities to spend valuable time with industry experts. These interactive sessions are extended to ensure that you will get to the heart of the conference’s most critical issues and uncover practical solutions you can apply in your own company.

13:00 Networking lunch break

14:00 Evaluating the integrity assessment of thin organic films Led by an industry expert this workshop will cover the value of the resistivity of different organic coatings by a combination of optical shearography and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). It will show you how the behavior of organic coatings, i.e., gray enamel, white enamel, beige enamel (spray coatings), a yellow acrylic lacquer, and a gold nail polish on a metallic alloy, i.e., carbon steel, were investigated over a temperature range of 20 to 60 oC (68 to 140 oF). Attendees will get an overview of the value of the resistivity of coatings that was determined by correlating the in-plan displacement of the coating (by shearography over a temperature range of 20 to 60 oC (68 to 140 o). Workshop led by: Khaled Habib, Department of Advanced Systems, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR)
